Who you've always sought,is behind this locked door, oaken.
Behind which lies an ancient man,
persistent, but soft-spoken.
He drives you to make decisions,
throughout your daily life,
and helps you with the tightening bonds,
of everlasting strife.
You seek him now as you've sought him,
throughout many and many a-year.
But it never fails, as time prevails-
you forget to lend an ear.
The want for him will always be there,
a whisper in your mind.
If you want to look for your reason on earth,
the old man you'll have to find.
He's why one loves their job, or,
for no pay, one will offer a service.
For when you find these, you're sure to find him,
the man whose name is PURPOSE.
