Heyo everyone! So, at my school we have a Halloween Dance. And to start off, I am not out to the teachers/most of the students at my school. I am in eighth grade.
So to get in, we had to show our school IDs. The one I had with me was my one from sixth grade, where I still had long hair. So I showed it to the teacher and she said, "but that's a girl!" And I didn't know what to say, so I just said I was a girl, and I felt terrible after saying it...
Then, my friends went into the girl's bathroom and were like, "come on!" to me, so I went in there with them... I felt really weird and I didn't want to be in there. But anyway some other girls came in and were like "why is a boy in the bathroom?" And I guess I was happy people thought I was a boy but I had to say I was a girl when they asked that and I just felt so bad the rest of the night.
That wasn't a great experience. Next year I'll be switching to a high school most people at my school don't go to, and I'm going to present myself as a guy. And hopefully things will be better.
