Helplessness

I drove off into the distance for only just one reason.

Kim. She was in danger.

I absolutely have no clue what could have happened, but I don't want one scratch on her.

I swear moon goddess that if I find out who tried to hurt my Kim. They. Will. Pay.

Just the thought of her hurt made me clench the steering wheel. She was like my sister and I would protect her no matter what.

You see I take care of family. Especially after my parents died, I had nobody there for me....

I loosened my grip because my knuckles started turning white with all the clenching.

Why would anybody want to do any harm to her? She never messed with anybody.

I sped up and I hoped that  I didn't crash.

As I drove I heard my phone vibrate. It was a message, but I couldn't look at it now.

I kept speeding on until I finally reached her house. I parked but it was more of a swerve.

I dug for my phone in my pocket. I dialed Kim again. It rang about 5 times till someone picked up.

"Hello," I said my voice soft. A voice answered.

" I see that Elli has come for her friend has she," said the voice at the other end.

I know that voice...

Oh moon goddess it's Trevor! Kim's ex.

Anger spread through every vein in my body.

"Trevor what the fuck do you think you are doing?!," I yelled.

Chuckling was the response I heard.

"Elli you're so stupid. Don't you know?," was all he said.

"Know what now?", said my wolf peeking out.

There's was a moment of pause.

Then I heard,"Well Kim found her mate!," He spat the word mate out.

This made me happy for Kim. But why does that matter to him?

The reason why Kim dumped this jerk was because he was a manipulative piece of shit.

He always humiliated her in front of everyone. She also once told me that he had slapped her. He was a no good wolf!

"Well what does that have to do with you keeping her hostage huh!?," I yelled out.

"I am her mate!," He yelled out in frustration.

Then all of it made sense, but mate's don't hurt each other.

But Kim is mated to Trevor. The wolf who was never a good boyfriend in the beginning.....

Aiden's POV (surprise! And btw this is where Elli drove away from him)
I was extremely angry. My wolf wanted to come out, but I couldn't let him do that. I knew it would get out of hand.

Agh she escaped! That little mate of mines is keen. I stomped my way to my black SUV and got in.

I closed the door and turned on the car and took off. She was going too fast, but where would she be going?

I guess I have to follow her then. I started the car and went after her.

Let's see if I can get there on time.

I followed her and saw that she was heading to her house.

"Idiot you let her leave!," My wolf Sam said or more like yelled.

"Well it's not my fault she's smart," I said defensively. It was true she has some intelligence to be able to escape me.

"Hmph I knew I should of taken control. She wouldn't have escaped with the guy if I did," he said sternly.

"If I let you would have gone on a rampage and everything would of been out of control. Or worse you would have gone ahead and marked her when you know she isn't ready," I stated.

Why can't my wolf understand that I'm trying to get her to trust me?

Hey guys sorry for the late chapter. I was quite busy. Yeah and sorry that it's pretty short I'll try writing longer chapters. But I hope you enjoyed. And I'll try updating often.
