A day has passed since I arrived at Los Angeles, California. My day yesterday was pretty much spent sleeping. I had a dream about me seeing my friends and family again. It was a sweet dream.

Anyways, I didn't expect myself to be really tired otherwise, I would have gone sight seeing.

At least I am well rested and have energy because I have school tomorrow, and hopefully I can get my dorm room. I love this hotel, but I want to settle down. I want to put my clothes in my drawers. Have my own washing machine, that kind of stuff.

I went to go have breakfast at Waffle House. I ordered an Apple Juice and an All-star breakfast. It was delicious.  I had a whole waffle, three bacon strips, two sausages,  scrambled eggs, some toast with butter and jelly, and hash browns. Hey I was hungry. I didnt eat yesterday because I was sleeping.

After breakfast I went to go explore Los Angeles. I skipped lunch because I was full from breakfast. The weather was perfect. It wasn't too cold and it wasn't too hot. I decided to walk. Don't get me wrong it was tiring, but at least I got some exercise.

Los Angeles is so beautiful! I wish I could live here. I love looking at the bridges and the decorated buildings. See, you don't need a tour guide to tour the city. It is better to have a personal experience. Just image walking around and listening a lady talk nonstop. I would get so bored and it would kill the experience.

I looked at the time and it said 3:00pm.   I was in the mood for a frappochino. I decided to find a Starbucks. I walked through the park, and then the restaurant. After 10minutes of searching, I finally found one.

I opened the door with the Starbucks logo on it and went in. The line wasn't long. "What can I get for you?" asked the barista. "I would like a tall Caramel frappochino." I replied. "Ok. That will be $4.45." "What is your name?"asked the barista. "Julie." I said while looking for some money. I gave the barista the $4.45.

I moved down to the end of the table waiting for my order. A minute later someone called "Julie." I grabbed my Carmel Frapp, and thanked the person. Before I left, I grabbed a straw and some napkins.

I wanted to drink my frapp outside since it was gorgeous outside. I went to a park and sat down on a bench. It had a great view like New York City.

I drank my frapp and looked around while sitting on a bench.

Bzzzzz. Bzzzz. I looked at my phone and saw that my mom was calling me. I answered the phone. "Hey my baby!" my mom said cheerfully. Then I heard my father. "Hey darling how are you? How's Los Angeles?" asked my parents in unison. "It is great!" I said happily. "That's good." I talked to my parents. At some point in our conversation I threw away my trash and decided to head to my hotel.

Once I was close to my hotel, my mom asked me "Have you started school?". "No I start tomorrow." "Oh ok. It was nice talking to you sweetie." said my mom. "I love you!" said my parents. "I love you too." I smiled. "Be safe!" said my dad. "I will.".

I was happy to hear my parents again. I still miss them. Grrrr rumbled my stomach. I was hungry.

Right when I was about to enter the hotel, I saw a Mexican restaurant. My mouth water just by thinking about the tacos, steaks, rice, beans, and guacamole. I stop thinking about the food and ran towards the Mexican Restaurant.

When I entered, there was no line. A young lady walked me to my booth. She gave me the menu and walked away. I looked at the menu and saw a whole list of delicious food.

Suddenly, a waiter came to take my order. I couldn't wait to get my food so I decided that along with ordering my drink, I would also order my food.

I ordered an Horchata. It is this milk-cinnamon drink. It is was so good. While I was drinking my Horchata, one of the waiters brought me some tortilla chips with some guacamole.

I ate the chips and read on my phone while waiting for my food. After reading two chapters, my food arrived. I had two hard shell tacos with ground beef, lettuce, and shredded quesadilla cheese along with smashed Mexican beans and rice. On another plate, I had two long strips of steaks and some fries.

I took a bit of my taco. Mmmm I love the taste of the shredded quesadilla cheese with the ground beef. I took another sip of my drink. After thirty minutes, I finished all my food. "Ugh I feel fat" I said softly to myself.

I wanted one more thing...I want...some flan. My waiter came to ask me if I wanted any dessert. I told my waiter what I wanted.

I left the restaurant after paying for my meal. I walked all the way to my hotel room.

Once I entered my room, I decided to watch a movie before I have to leave everything ready for tomorrow.

I flipped through the channels and found a romantic movie. Somewhere in the middle of the movie, I began putting my clothes together. The school that I'm going to has no uniforms. But just like other schools, they have dress code.

I found a cute shirt to wear with some skinny jeans. Then I found these cute purple wedges. When I finished putting everything together, I looked at the clock and it read 10:00pm.

I brushed my teeth and then tucked myself in bed. I set the alarm at 7:00am. I turned the tv and lamp off. I looked at the ceiling. Sigh. I wonder how my first day will be.

Will the teachers be nice to me? Am I going to embarrass myself tomorrow? All of these thoughts raced through my brain, but I shook them off. Ok Julie. Be positive, and I took a deep relaxing breathe. You got this.

I looked at the window, and then drifted into a deep sleep.
