Nostalgia had hit me
And all that could've been
As memories went back
To the summer beach shack
Where we both shared a kiss
Our first, infused with bliss
Remember the first night
That gave you such a fright
You witnessed a red spill
That sent a wave of chill
As you scanned my sore wrists
You felt your stomach twist
As quick that it has come
Is as fast it has gone
Then I was enveloped
In a warmth developed
Only you can emit
Such pure love to commit
Since then, you've altered me
A change that'd set me free
Pain becomes gaiety
Scars to vitality
Blood becomes kisses
Obstacles to bridges
