Daire (pov)

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I opened my eyes to see the time was 8:30 and school was at 9:00. Oh crap I am going to be late; I thought as I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and splashed my face with water not have time for a shower than ran to my room to get changed. I quickly grabbed a random sweater and jeans threw them on then ran down the stairs to see both my parent sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of tea in each of their hands staring at me as if they were waiting for me.

“Mum I am late why didn’t you wake me up.” I whined grabbing an apple out the fruit basket, then grabbing my school bag which I left on the table from last night.

“Don’t worry darling you’re not late” stated my mother calmly while she slowly sipped her tea. “Okay this woman has some serious spunk and it’s pissing me off” retorted my self-conscience. I couldn’t agree more.

“Actually I am late mom” I replied pointing to the clock on the kitchen wall, which read 8:45 crap 15 minutes till registration.

“No darling you’re not late I called the school and told them you’re not coming in today.” Stated my mother with a smile on her face.

“You did what, you know I was revising for that biology exam which is today and which I intend to do and pass” I shouted breathlessly, I suddenly felt a rush of adrenaline in my blood.

“No not now” my self-conscience retorted “you’re not ready”. “Yah think” I sarcastically replied bracing my body. “No I know” my self-conscience replied with the same tone.

“It’s happening Tom we have to sedate her” whispered my mother to my father, who had his head in his hands.

SEDATE! What on earth was my mother talking about as far as I was concerned sedate means to put one on medicine which is then used to put one to sleep. What the hell was going on? I thought taking a step backward.

Everything happened in slow motion my mother brought out a pistol and pointed it at me before firing it. I felt it rip through the muscle tissues in my right arm; the pain was unbelievable I began to see white filling my vision. The last things I saw were tears running down my father face and my mother looking at me in pity and triumph. The last things I heard was words coming out of my mouth, only they didn’t belong to me, saying “you wait till I’m awoken woman; I promise you’ll be begging for hell”  a grin erected from my face as I watch the triumph leave her face and was replaced by genuine fear. The last things I thought were that this women wasn’t my mother and that she just woke up the beast in me.

Bring it on bitch.
