"I'm right here," I screamed at her.
She looked down at her hands, subconsciously wringing them.
"You said you'd come back," she whispered, pain very evident in her quiet voice. She looks up at the ceiling. Her eyes brimmed with tears and I wrapped my arms around her. She took a deep, shaky breath. "You didn't even say goodbye, Louis." She shook her head as tears began slipping down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry, baby, I really am," I told her, almost inaudibly. I knew she couldn't hear me but I tried anyway. "I love you, and I just need you to know that but I don't know how." I sounded so exasperated as tears began to fall from my own eyes.
"Aaliyah," a sympathetic voice reached out. Her gaze snapped to the person and she wiped at her eyes furiously, not wanting them to see her crying. It was Harry.
Harry held out his hand for her and she took it. He hauled her up, oblivious to me hanging on to her tightly, and wrapped an arm around her shoulder comfortingly. "Aaly, it's been two weeks," he said softly, earning another sob from her.
Seeing her like this killed me, or it would if it could. If I weren't already dead, that is.
