Bzzt! Bzzt!

You looked at your phone to see who it was. Italy.

You answered. "Hello?"

"(Y/N) thank goodness. Can you come over to our place? I need you to look after my fratello for a bit." He said nervously.

"Oh, okay sure. I'll be there in a second." You said.

"Thanks." He said as he hung up.

You went straight to your room and prepared to go. You got your car keys (yes you're old enough) and got into your car (just put whatever car you like).

As you drove over to his place, you thought. He was letting YOU watch over Romano, or Lovino Vargas. You just loved his attitude and everything about him, though some would say he's rude and foulmouthed, you liked the guy either way.

You pulled at the house, scratch that, REALLY big house, as you got out of the car.

"Ve~ Hello, (Y/N)!" Italy greeted as you opened the door.

"Hello. So for how long do I have to watch over him?" You asked.

"Just a few hours, I guess." Italy replied.

"Okay." Was all you said.

"See you later, (Y/N)!" He waved as he disappeared from the house.

You walked over to Lovino, who was sitting on the couch, glaring at the TV. He just... glared at it.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"I just realized..."

"What?"

"That I forgot where I put the remote."

"Oh... Let's just look for it then."

"I F****** LOOKED FOR IT, OKAY!"

"Did you find it then?"

"DO I LOOK LIKE I DID???!!!"

"..."

You then thought of something else.

"How about we look at some pictures instead?"

He paused for a moment, thinking for what seemed like forever, making you wonder since it almost never took him that long to make a decision. "Okay...fine." His voice was uncharacteriscally quiet.

Yup. Definitely a new record for someone who's angry all the time.

"Okay..." Was all you muttered.

He brought out a really big picture book as he put it, or slammed it, on the table as you laughed lightly at the action.

The both of you then flipped through some pages and pictures of him and Italy, some pictures of them like picking tomatoes or playing with each other, though only Italy seemed to do so.

There was another picture that caught your attention. It was a picture of him and Italy as kids with Grandpa Rome. You smiled at the cute photo while Romano stared at it, almost as if he was remembering a good moment or a bad one. Or both.

"Lovi... what's wrong?"

He didn't answer. Usually he would respond by saying "Don't call me Lovi!" or at least turn his head at you and glare. But he didn't. He just stared at it with a blank expression, almost as if he was sad.

You decided to at least try to make him respond by starting a conversation. "Hey,ummm. You and Italy were still four or five there, right?" Though it was obvious what his age was in there, you just went with it.
