A few weeks later, Whitesnake and Def Leppard take a break from touring, so David and Vivian go home together. "Darling, are you okay?" David asks, concerned about Vivian.

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me," Vivian smiles back.

"No, you're not. I know when you're not okay," David sighs.

"It's back. The cancer is back," Vivian says, almost crying.

"Darling, you know I'll always be here for you, no matter what," David smirks as he grabs Vivian's hand.

"I know you will. That's why I love you," Vivian replies with a smirk of his own.

David pulls Vivian into a tight hug and they kiss passionately. "David, I know you have something to ask me," Vivian whispers into his lover's ear.

David chuckles. "Yes I do, darling." Viv watches as he pulls a small box out of his pocket. "I know we haven't been together that long, but I knew you were the one as soon as I met you," Cov smiles.

"Is that why you kicked me out of Whitesnake? Because you had feelings for me?" Vivian questions.

Cov sighs. "Yes. That was the true reason I kicked you out. I couldn't stand working with someone I had feelings for. Will you please marry me?"

Viv smirks. "Of course I will, sexy," he chuckles, earning a smirk from David.

**Author note: I'm sorry David and Vivian look so frigging adorable together. The true reason Viv was kicked out of Whitesnake was that he and David couldn't get along. I just made the other reason up for the story.
