Pfc. Mattew Johnson
Hell, all around me it is just gun fire and rockets flying past me. Then all of the sudden my whole team blows up and I'm the last one left. So I pull out my side arm and put it up to my head but I can't do it I need to stay alive for my wife and three kids if I kill myself because of guilt they won't have a father I must keep fighting to live on so I run up to one of the humvees and grabbed a grenade belt a bunch of ammo for my rifle and pistol and a MRE. I'm running down a hill now but I don't know where to go I need to get to the Air Force base. So I head in the direction it should be in but I don't think I should live though I left my team to die. As I'm walking in the desert of Afghanistan I hear a gun shot and a bullet flies right at my feet so I start to run with all my power but it comes silent all of the sudden. "This is weird." I said to myself then I see a black hawk fly past me but they didn't see me. So I kneel on the ground and start to cry but no tears come out its just screams. After I'm done I get up and start walking again. It's about midnight and I start to set up my camp in a cave and go to sleep. All night you hear gun shots and people yelling and rockets exploding so I turn my head and try to go back to sleep and it's 0600 now and I'm already walking, walking towards my death.
