"I don't know if he will do that to you like he did to us, he might do it while we're all asleep or unconscientious, or he might not do it at all, it's just so unpredictable," Chelsey replies with a sad look on her face. I know what she's thinking, poor Olivia, just another innocent victim he dragged into his psychotic world. "We'll try to protect you so he doesn't do anything rash if you're asleep and we're not, okay?" I say trying to comfort Olivia and to get her to relax a little. None of us will live to see another day if we fight. "Oh, and another thing, don't try to escape, we already tried that, it didn't end well..." I warn her trailing off at the memory of being thrown into a wall, kicked, and slapped. My hand moves and my fingers brush the spot where he kicked me, the bruises still fresh and the spot where he slapped me still stinging. "What...what happened?" Olivia asks with some concern in her eyes as she watches me touch my ribs and face. "Umm...he...he uh....he caught us and threw us into the wall, he kicked and slapped me, and just slapped Chelsey.." I whisper, wincing at the thought of this poor girl trying to escape and getting the same treatment. "Wow, and you haven't you know...tried to...escape since?" She inquires holding my hand thoughtfully. "No, neither of us can walk that well anyways, not after he gave us that vision shot, plus where would we go, and there's no way to out run him in our condition," Chelsey adds when I don't respond. "We could plan a escape, and go to the police," Olivia suggests, "No, that wouldn't work, they wouldn't believe us, not this close to Halloween," I mutter, "Look what he did to us, then see if you want to escape and get his anger trained on you," I continue speaking lifting up my shirt and pointing to my blood splotched gauze. Olivia gasps and a few tears slide from the corners of her eyes, "I'm so sorry, I didn't know the cuts were that bad, I thought it was just the ones on your arms and legs.." She apologizes leaning over and hugging me. I wince from the pain in my side, but manage to wrap my arms around her in a awkward hug. It was going to be okay, this girls determination to escape gave me some hope, that maybe just maybe there was a chance we would be able to get this man behind bars and we would be safe from harm. We talk with each other for another hour or so until we hear the door open, here we go, time to find out Olivia's fate.
