Introduction -
Amelia - Present tense -
The sky outside dragged me closer into its depths of darkness; I struggled and tried to scream as the darkness surrounded me. Suddenly... a bright flash of light caught my eye as the light surrounded me and embedded me in its warmth. Then an echo, a screech of pain filled the air, every-thing around me seemed to stop and freeze in time. Hands reaching out from every direction grabbing me, pain, death, loneliness a voice whispers. I scream and awake from what feels like a nightmare.
My name is Amelia Hallows, i am 14, i live in a foster home after been found in a forest in the middle of winter. The date when they found me was the 13th of November. At that age i was 4, 10 years ago i was found dead. But after 2 months of been dead as many people say, i awoke.
This foster home is a living nightmare, every-one is afraid of me and keep their distance. Tests have been carried out on me but nothing has been discovered. I do not remember my past; there is a gap, a hole which i have yet to discover...
I have many nightmares, but it is always the same nightmare which haunts me as soon as my eyes shut. The darkness, the light, the screech, the hands and the voice. I have been having this nightmare for 10 years now, it used to only happen once a month, then it became twice a week, then every day since. But every time before i awake from that same nightmare, i feel an icy cold hand caress my face. I do not understand this, but i tell no-one, it is my secret to face alone.

Watching her sleep brings peace to my mind, Amelia has grown so much but soon that alone will have to stop. I caress her face gently, but her eyes flutter half open, before she fully awakes i whisper
"my flower, your heart is withering and dying, i wish to end this soon please forgive thee".
My body starts to burn and i disappear before she awakes, this is the life i have had to live for 10 years. But soon she will awake, re-awake to her past...
