One moment Pusheen was sleeping, dreaming of eating a chocolate doughnut the size of a house, then he felt something small and fluffy with little claws bouncing on him like a trampoline.

"Stormy, get off! I'll tell mum!" Pusheen threatened sleepily. "She said you aren't allowed to jump on me when I'm sleeping,"

Stormy leapt off and instead nudged her sister. "Wanna play?"

"I wanna sleep, Stormy. What's the time anyway?"

"Only three o'clock!" Stormy replied cheerfully."

"What?"

" 'mon, big sis. I can't sleep. Let's go and visit the mermaids. I saw them in the  story book."

Pusheen squinted at her sister in disbelief. " I don't think mermaids exist " she said doubtfully. "I'm hungry anyway. Let's have a midnight feast, come on,"

"They do exist! They do! They live in the fish pond," Stormy flew through the cat flap, hastily followed by Pusheen.

The sky was dark and glittery, dotted with glowing stars. The older cat gazed in awe, memontarily distracted from her excitable sister who was now circling the miniature fish pond, watching the gold fishes with little fanned fins gliding together.

"Come on, Push Push!" Stormy called eventually, before diving headfirst into the pond. The fishes quickly swam out of the way, mouths opening and closing.

"Storm!" Pusheen cried, hurting to the pool and staring in, ready to find her drowned Storm and haul her out, buy she wasn't there. Her whiskers quivered in confusion.

"In here!" A sudden faraway voice came from the pond. "Jump!"

Pusheen hesitated, then dipped her paw into the silvery water. She stepped backwards then leapt in.

She expected to hit the bottom of the fish pond, and was shocked and surprised to find herself in a vast ocean. Tiny silvery fishes swam in groups, bigger fishes swam by themselves, and the bottom of the water, oh my!

Rocks in arches, pale pink starfish, oysters, seaweeds, clams, clusters of fluffy looking plants, even a huge looming wrecked ship!

Pusheen was overawed, her mouth open in an O of delight. She swam downwards, trying to spot Stormy. She suddenly caught sight if her, chasing a crowd of fish, bubbles coming from her mouth.

Pusheen's eyes widened. Stormy had a tail! It was a beautiful tail. Peach with candyfloss pink!

She suddenly turned to see that she had her own tail.
