Chapter 3.
Elliot Anderson
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I hissed at him.
He smirked, "What do you think?"
It suddenly hit me. Cole was Elise's big brother. Why hadn't I realised this sooner? They dropped lots of hints but I didn't think to add them up until now.
"What's going on here?" Hunter asked, raising his eyebrow.
I forgot he didn't know anything about Elise or Noelle. Or Cole for that fact.
I explained it all to him and he was grinning by the end.
"Sooo, that means you guys are neighbours?" He asked.
"Uh, yeh obviously" I rolled my eyes at him, I must've said that Cole and I were neighbours now at least 4 times.
"That's gonna be so fun, we can hang out all the ti-" He started but I cut him off.
"No" I growled.
Both Cole and Hunter raised their eyebrows at me and Cole smirked.
"Are you threatened by me, babe?" He grinned.
I scoffed, "No"
He shrugged his shoulders, a smirk still placed on his lips. Elise sat still on Cole's lap playing with the zip on his leather jacket.
"Elise, do you want to go to the park?" I asked her, trying to escape from this situation I was in.
She grinned at me and jumped to her feet, "Can Wesley come too?"
"Of course!" I replied before shouting Wesley to come downstairs.
"Elliot" A voice said and I spun around to see Cole shooting daggers at me.
"Yes, Cole?" I rolled my eyes at him again.
"Look after my baby sister, and If she ends up hurt I will personally kick your cute little ass" He ended his sentence with a sickeningly sweet smile.
Cute little ass?
"Not the only thing you'd like to do to this 'cute little ass' is it?" I smirked at him and stuck my tongue out.
He rolled his eyes and sighed.
I turned to Hunter to see him too busy texting someone on his phone. He sensed me looking at him and he raised his head.
"I'm going to stay here and hang with Cole, that okay?" He grinned at me, obviously happy he's got a new friend.
"Yes, that's fine. I'll be back soon" I left the room to get the kids and then we headed off round the block, to the park.
---
We've been at the park for around half an hour and It was starting to get a little chilly and stupid me had forgot to bring a jacket.
I stood up from the bench I had been sitting on for the past while and walked further from the swing set where Elise and Wesley were playing.
I whipped out a cigarette and lit it. As I exhaled the smoke, I instantly felt calmer. I took a few more puffs I took a few steps forward about to go get the kids, but a pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around my waist.
