The orphanage

After the cops came to Tom's and Max's house to the sight of the two parents death, they asked Tom what happened and Tom replied with tears poring down his face and said " I dont know" Tom wiped the tears off his face and was feeling guilty and unsteady because of his  sickness after that Max caught up with him and asked " Hey Tom did you take your pills?" Tom replied with a tear "No, I didn't that means i could've killed mom and dad" Max said " No you didn't you tried to protect me from who did and I forgot everything else it was all a blur" I just know that it wasn't only you protecting me or protecting me wasn't the only reason why you or her protected me" Tom said " Okay but just know I'm going to find who ever did this and make them-" suddenly a cop came to Tom and said since no one coulf take care of you, you two will go to an orphanage. When Tom heard the cop say this he quikly said " Max and I need to stay together no matter what k" as the cop heard this he said " with full garentee you two will stay together no matter what k" as he tried to taunt Tom. When they got to the orphanage they were immediately brought to the room and got settled when Tom was about to go to sleep because of being stressed and exhausted the caretaker went to Tom's room with a box with a stamp saying " From : Anonymous To: Tom" when Tom got the box he put it under his bed and went back to sleep
After a week Tom decided to go under hus bed for a photo of his mom and dad but thats when he found the box again after thinking Tom decided to open the box and it had a note saying
" Dear Tom I wont forget about you and what you did the other night heres a keepsake and Ill find you again and it'll be the last time one of us see the light of day sincerely Anonymous" after Tom read this he found a small box and he thought to himself " whats this?" He closed the dore to his room and opened the small box  when he saw what was in it he had a huge mix of emotions but what he felt wasnt normal he felt sad and mad but also happy. At first he didnt know why but after time he knew he couldnt just sit around and let that slide. The reason why for this motivation was the "gift" it was the knife Jeff used to kill Tom's parents. When Tom took all this in he changed in to a totaly different person instead of only being nice and gentle he also could've been murderous and dangerous at times. After a while of consideration Tom decided not to tell Max about the note or the knife until he leaves Max forever "wich will never happen" he said, and from there on the story of Tom The Killer began.
