A New Feeling

The seasons changed when I met you.
The air was warm but the trees were bare.
You looked like a sunrise on a cold morning but you felt like a burning flame beneath my hands.
I took my chances and spoke, intrigued by the presence I longed to know in the future.
I didn't expect anything from you but to know what you loved, you despised, and every story you wanted to tell to someone.
My mind changed when I met you.
Instead of living my life, I wanted to indulge myself in learning your passions and what you could teach me from your experiences.
My fingertips shudder thinking about what's to come out of knowing someone new.
It's the thought of being up late at night and seeing possibilities race through your mind of something new.
The new inside jokes, the new shared interests, the new experiences and laughs to be shared between two vast expanses of souls.
It's really all beautiful, and this is going to be one hell of a ride.
