It was a cold Saturday the wind blow at my straight brown, which was stung by the light making it a brownish red. The wind made me catch my breath. My mouth was dry and crispy from a wanting urge inside me. My eyes drew the on the gun in my hand. My mom was not home and I had stolen his gun from my dad. The thought of leaving this world use to be hard. Then my eyes were drawn to a picture that lied on the ground that had been put there only a day ago. It was my best friend and me, laughing and smiling at each other .It was a great day my Best friend had just told my her new crush of the week, and daring me that  she could drink more milkshakes then me. She grabbed my hand and put the straw in my mouth forcing me to drink, her olive face made faces at me which distracted me, but also distracting her. She finished the milkshake first crowning her the winner of the game like she now owned miles of land and was a queen.

Then she looked at me and started to laugh, hard through her two buck teeth, showing a gorgeous smile. She then pulled out a mirror and showed me what I looked like. My face was covered with milk and so I started to laugh to. We then made one of the waiters take a picture of us, we pulled close together with my white pale skin and her olive skin and her naturally pink cheeks rubbed against mine, making her curly black hair press onto my hair as we smiled, but that was a long time ago when we first started school. My eyes then moved to my old school bag that I used for the first two years of high school, it still smelled of gym, food, and hair products.

The rips at the side of my bag still remain so that they will never forget the pain I had in my life. My best friend and I had just walked in to high school, we were new and didn't know what to expect. Days went by in high-school and we made new friends, friends that I now wished we had never met. We became close to the friends I wished I had never met. They were called the Hackers. They smoked weed, wined and danced dirty  during lunch, got banned from everywhere except class and skipped all classes. Being around the Hackers, I should have known you can and will change. My best friend did, she used to be the nicest person I know with the sweetest personality. She used to pray before during anything and never cursed, but that changed at first she stopped praying, then she stopped being nice and started to tell you off,  even if you looked at her in a funny way. By the end of the second year of high-school she smoked Keisha and Molly (two types of drugs).

She changed but not for the better I thought I stayed the same, but maybe that's not true either. By the third year she forgot who her first friend was and teased me behind her back for being too much of this and that. I made it my job then to change her but the more I tried to convince her the more she pushed me away. She then decided to have a practical joke with me and make my bag get stuck on the door of a bus from the inside, but the plan went wrong and I got stuck from the outside, making me get sketches on my arm and legs. I finally tugged hard on my bag which made my bag get rips on it. I stopped starting at my tarred bag, and moved back to the picture. The picture was not always on the ground .It had been months since I had talked to my best friend but since I made it my job I wanted to give it one last shot before I went away. So I called her over thinking to convince her into changing back. She appeared at my door step angry and annoyed for standing too long in the cold weather.

She pushed me aside and walked in. She looked around the house to make sure nothing had change since the last time she had been over which was in the first year of high-school. She then looked at my Christmas tree; she smirked at it and then laughed like god was a joke. I stood and pointed to my bedroom which was down the hall to the right. I thought it would take her long to understand what I meant but she understood and started to make her way to my room. When we got there she froze. The last time she was in my bedroom my wall were pink full sunshine and happiness now they are black. My bedroom also used to have a twin bed with rainbows on the bed spread, now they are purple with black pillows. She continued to walk in like she saw a ghost. She sat on the bed but looked uncomfortable. I stared at her for at least ten seconds and then started to speak. "Listen, I know we are not as close friends as we wanted to be but I think we can be again”, she kept staring at me like she didn't understand so I kept going" you have changed we used to be best friends and then you changed and not for the better for the worst. You have been doing things that are not good and I want to stop you". Her stare darken, hair green eyes poisoning me.

She laughed and then started to yell in a vulgar tone" You think I changed because I wanted to! I had to change because , you were unbearable to be with you think I cause bad things to happen to , you think I want to be around a friend who had changed so much, ha, yeah right."

“What are you talking about I haven't changed", I said with a shy voice.

She replied instantly" Yes, sweetly you have you never used to be down in the dumps you used to be fun around and take risks. Don't you remember, you were the one who introduced me to the Hackers in the first place, but then something had happened and your dad died and you thought it was your fault because we were out having milkshakes and you were supposed to be watching your sick father? You then wanted to steal the milkshakes and not pay but I convinced you that we take up a challenge, that if I win we would pay for them, but you didn't think it was fair because I always drink faster than you, but you thought if I gave you a head start and help you drink it you would win. Sadly when we came back you found out that your dad had pass, but you could never forgive yourself, so you became shy and didn’t want to take risk, I tried to cheer you up but you just wouldn't .Haven't you known that you changed to just as much as I have, now I love risk and now you’re scared of life. It’s like our lives have been switched around and I am never going back to being shy" with that last word she walk out and made my dresser shake cussing  the picture of her and me drink milkshakes to shatter to my tile ground. The frame was no more visible and the picture UN- scratched.

I looked at the window and stared back at my hand that was holding the gun. All night I thought about her words, and realized most of them were true. I left a note in my drawer for when my mom cries so that it will comfort her. I pushed my head onto the back board of my bed. I pulled the gun close to my head closed my eyes thought of the things I will miss but never forget. I let my finger touch the cold gun were the trigger should be. I remember when I bought this gun with my best friend in case someone would come up to me and threaten me, but I did not imagine that I would ever use it on me. I will join my father and tell him my life. Good-bye world. Then I pulled the trigger. The bullet felt pain but I felt relieved but before my eyes closed the door opened and it was my best friend crying and looked full with regret on what she had said the day before. She stood still and the crying seized, as I mouthed the words" good-bye my dear friend" and the world went black.
