An update wooosh! Took me long enough! I am really sorry for being late! :D
Anne’s POV
I knew something was wrong. Why is that tiger man following us anyways? What does he want from uncle?
She was missing something, she knew it.
They got on the train and went to find a good place.
Avery, Michael, Julia and Mundy went and sat next to the Marine Darine. There were no empty spaces left. She didn’t exactly prefer sitting on the floor in this weather. Three of them, excluding Julia were not yet used to Anne’s presence and were a bit nervous.
Avery, a blond haired man with firm strong muscles kept glancing at her every now and then. Michael on the other hand looked sharp. He didn’t look too happy with her joining.
Mundy looked cheerful but had a dark aura surrounding him.
Anne sighed.
She would have to stand then.
I saw uncle glance at me for a moment. He then stared at me enquiringly.
I smiled.
“Come sit here.” He said softly, gesturing for me to sit on his lap.
I blushed.
He smiled.
“Will you make space for the young miss Avery?” He said clamly.
“Yes boss of course” he said with some resentment and made place for me.
Uncle shrugged.
I sat in the place comfortably. I felt a strong urge to ask him. “Uncle?”
“Anne?”
“You did see the tiger down in the platform didn’t you?”
He grimaced.
“Yes and no, but don’t you go thinking about it now. Look at this amazing scenery.”
I peered through the window. He’s right. The scenery is amazing.
I wanted to go more into the topic but felt he really gets annoyed from it. I pushed the subject from my mind.
“So uncle, what is Jaquar and Fleintz exactly?”
“It is a kind of small building we are going to. We’ll rest there for a bit then go for our next target.”
I beamed.
“So, am I going to be taught there?”
“Yes I think so.”He said, looking down at me softly.
“Thanks uncle.”
He smiled smartly.
The train came to a halt. We reached our destination.
I was the first to get off the train. I felt the cold breeze brush softly against my skin. The place was cold.
Uncle and the other four followed me eventually.
We were driven down the road to the building. Once we arrived, I was surprised by the actions of the other four. Each of them seemed to know exactly what he had to do.
I felt ashamed, more of a burden on them.
“Er.. uncle? Can you give me a job to do?”
He looked at me, the smile fading from his face.
“I never gave any of my men jobs. Each of them knows what they are good at. They choose their jobs themselves. I am sure you’ll find where you belong one day Anne.”
I should think, see and listen for yourself.
This didn’t raise my hopes at all. I felt myself more useless.
“Umm.. Anne? Would you mind cleaning this for me?” said Avery.
I looked at him in surprise then beamed.
“of course!”
The others looked amused, then all of a sudden, they all threw their clothes to me, looking rather happy.
Michael didn’t though. “Want anything washed Michael?”
He looked at me. I thought he was going to slap me for a moment, but then he said, “No thanks”.
I felt shivers run through me that had nothing to do with the weather.
I ran outside and started washing the clothes.
I saw him, he was there. His red eyes staring down at my face.
I felt myself shaking. He was getting nearer, the tiger.
“Gerrof me “I screamed as he attempted to hold my wrist.
There were some noises from the door of the building; someone was coming to help me.
“You know, there are secrets hidden behind the cool face of that man.” He said, and within a second he vanished leaving me alone in my confusion.
Secrets,huh?
