Emo to the Extremo

Chapter 9

"Ladies and gentlemen, emos and preps, I welcome you to an emo off!" Casper announced, his voice suddenly deeper.

"What?" Kelly mumbled, seemingly the only one who noticed the sudden deepness in Casper's voice.

"Answering for the emos and to maintain, not only herself before loser Kelly and Mason, being emos is Raven!" The only ones who cheered were Mason and a disgruntled Kelly, "Answering for the preps is our all-time champion, Jade!" And the room erupted in cheers.

"That's like bias." Mason muttered to Kelly, who just nodded.

"First question: Blink 182 was born in which San Diego suburb?"

"Poway." Raven shouted. At the nod from Casper, Kelly and Mason cheered loudly.

"Second question: What year was Fall Out Boy's Evening Out with Your Girlfriend released?"

"2003." Jade shouted. Casper nodded at her well and the preps started to cheer. Jade and Raven glared at each other and the battle began.

"What was the band, Panic! at the Disco, first ever single made into a video?"

"I Write Sins, Not Tragedies." Point for Jade.

"Who is the lead singer for Black Veil Brides?"

"Andy Biersack." Point for Jade.

"My Chemical Romance released a cover of which Misfit's song?"

"Astro Zombies." Point for Raven.

"Who are brothers in the band Pierce the Veil?"

"Mike and Vic." Point for Raven.

"In 2012, Sleeping with Sirens released their first acoustic album titled?"

"If You Were A movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack." Point for Jade.

"What Paramore song are these lyrics from 'If only time flew like a dove, God make it fly'."

"Hallelujah." Point for Jade.

"The following line comes from which early Jimmy Eat World song, 'How long would it take me, to walk across the United States all alone?"

"Blister." Point for Raven.

"Who is the drummer for the All-American Reject?"

"Chris Gayler." Point for Raven.

"In 2005, what member of Senses Fail left the band?"

"Dave Miller." Point for Jade. Casper cleared his throat and everyone looked at him.

"This is the final question." Casper told them.

"Oh my lord. If Raven gets this right, I might kiss your face." Mason whispered to Kelly, who nodded.

"Please be weary of my lip ring." Kelly whispered back and Mason nodded as well.

"Final question: Who wrote the anthology album, Analphabetapolothology?" Casper asked. Raven's eyes widened slightly as she realized she's heard this word before but she couldn't recall where. However, before she could think about it deeper, Jade had hit her buzzer.

"The Promise Ring." Hade said with full confidence. Raven looked over at Kelly and Mason to apologize but Mason was smirking at Jade and Kelly had a huge smile on her face. Upon looking at Kelly, Raven was thrown into a flashback.

"First of all Cap'n Jazz will always remain in my heart. No album is better than Analphabetapolothology."

"I'm afraid that's not right." Casper told her, nervously looking at the card. With her deadpanned face, Raven touched her buzzer and everyone looked at her.

"Cap'n Jazz." Raven answered. With a heavy sigh, Casper nodded. Kelly let out a strange happy squeal before Mason kissed her. Ignoring her making out friends, Raven turned toward Jade, who's mouth was hung open in a shocked state.
