Party Crashers (An MCD AU)

Chapter 1: The Big News

Aphmau awoke in her messy bed which had been thrown apart by Katelyn who was trying to wake her up.

"Aphhhh, I have the biggest news and you are sleeping through it!" Aphmau pulled the cover off of herself and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Well what is this super important news..." She yawned trying to show Katelyn she wanted to sleep.

"So I was wandering through the woods... and I found this!" She grabbed a small folded piece of paper out of her pocket "Apparently king Ro'meave is throwing a party and with this invite that some snobby rich person dropped from the top of the mountain we can technically crash it!"

"Katelyn. That can't be a good idea."

"Come on I have a friend who can get us some dresses, she has a nice purple one." Katelyn knew how to get Aphmau's attention. The colour purple, plush toys and cute babies.

"You not gonna let me sleep either way are you?"

"Nope. C'mon!" Katelyn grabbed Aphmau and yanked her out of bed, quickly running to her wardrobe and throwing clothes at Aph. "It''s time for a trip into the dark forest."

They wandered out of their little hut in the woods, not telling their dad they were going out, and headed for the deepest part of the woods. Only someone trained well enough to defend them self could ever go deep into the woods and come back alive. Harmed but alive at least. Katelyn had been training for years and had been training Aphmau too. She was the one who hunted for food so they could survive since Katelyn's father was getting too old to protect her and her sister from the beasts of the forest.

"Hey Katelyn.... Hey Katelyn!" Aphmau groaned in Katelyn's ear.

"What?"

"Who exactly is this friend of yours?"

"Oh right. She's a witch who lives deep in the deepest part of the woods, but she can be a bit of a trickster so be cautious of her." Katelyn had been careless when she first met the devious witch and had let her big mouth go a bit haywire but at least the witch's owl familiar seemed to like her before the witch did so Katelyn didn't mind.

As they approached the broken cabin in the darkness of the woods, Aphmau felt shivers down her spine.

"Aph listen, she tends to make deals with people she thinks are below her or really stupid so don't make her think you are."

"Got it!" Aphmau pushed open the rotting door of the old, oak shack to see lots of potions messily thrown onto the shelves without any labels.

"Katelyn, how many times must I tell you to knock?" The ginger haired witch emerged from the corner of the room, with an owl on her tall pointy hat.

"Oh sorry Lucinda I totally forgot." The sarcasm was strong with Katelyn but that isn't who the witch cared about.

"So who's this girly exactly?"

"She's my sister. Her names Aphmau-"

"That's a really weird name."

"Excuse me but you can't just call my sister's name weird like that!" Lucinda rolled her eyes.

"Why are you here anyway.... Is this to do with that big party on the mountain?"

"We need dresses. And you have some."

"Of course... Aphmau dear come here, let's discuss the one you want..." Lucinda pulled Aphmau to a clothes rack in a slightly less destroyed room. "Listen, How's about we make a deal?"

"Depends... What is it...?" Aphmau was becoming increasingly more worried.

"I will give you your dream dress... But you have to stay at the party until Midnight. You can not leave any point before, understand."

"Oh that doesn't sound too bad... okay. I want a purple dress! Oh and Katelyn wants a blue one!" Aphmau was more excited than ever now. She didn't know what Lucinda was trying to achieve by making such an odd deal which doesn't seem to benefit her but that wasn't Aphmau's business.

She came running out in a purple dress whilst holding a baby blue one.

"Katelyn, we've got them! Let's go!" Aphmau threw Katelyn's dress to her and Katelyn quickly got dressed into it.

"So are you ready to go up the mountain?" Katelyn asked, a hint of excitement in her words. 

"As ready as i'll ever be!" They ran out the door as Lucinda stood at the door with a smirk on her face.

"Things will surely take an interesting turn of events now that she will be there when it happens..."
