TSA: "The Phone Call"

I skipped home in a happy manor. Why you ask? Well I just got Laurance's number! (From my house phone, by the way)

I had to tell someone but since I had no wifi it would have to wait for tomorrow. Man you don't have any wifi for a month and look at all you miss out on...

For some reason I felt as if I was forgetting something... Then I noticed. I haven't apologized to Garroth.

I began to feel immense guilt. I had ran off with Laurance totally forgetting Garroth at all... maybe if I apologize tomorrow it won't be too late?

I sighed and fumbled with the house key turning it around a couple times before finally opening it. I always had trouble opening that door, if only I could just break it down or had SOMEONE to break it down... hum....

I entered the house and was greeted with silence meaning that my mom was working. I noticed on the kitchen table a note saying:

"Dinner will be ready once I come back. Also Aphmau you got mail! Love ya! -mom"

I smiled at the note knowing that the mail was probably my secret admirer. I had written back to him saying that I accept his challenge but I wasn't expecting him to actually write back.

I took the letter and ran up stairs, excited to know what my secret admirer has written to me once again.

"Dear Aphmau.

Challenge accepted! You know to make this more interesting, I'll give you a hint every couple of days.

For now a hint is: "I am quite tall"

I smile at the page. Yes, another hint!

I open my drawer and take out the list of boys I had written that I'd slowly eliminate.

Since he is quite tall I guess that throws Jeffery out of the list since he is one of the shortest guys.

I stare at the note. One eliminated 6 left to go!

Then I suddenly hear my home phone ring. Maybe that's one of my mom's friends? Since you know, only parents use home phones these days...

I look onto the caller ID to see who the heck could be calling me when I was in the middle of my master mind elimination plan when I noticed it was...

Laurance?!

I clicked the pick up button out of nervousness and awkwardly said through out the phone, "H-hello?"

His beautiful dreamy voice was hear from the phone, "Hey, Aphmau right?"

"Yes!" I replied.

He laughed softly in the background. "I know this is kinda sudden but...

Will you go to the star gazing event they have today with me?"

I almost drop my phone. Is he, asking me, on a date?!

"Yes of course!!! I mean.. uh..., sure..! I've got nothing else to do,... b-bro..."

"Sweet! I'll meet you at the national star gazing park this evening... 7?" He exclaims while ignoring my awkwardness.

"O-okay! Is this l-like a date...?" I say immediately regretting what I said.

Learn to think before you talk Aphmau!

I hear him laugh nervously in the background. "Sure, if you want it to be like that. Okay I have to go, see you later my love"

I hear the phone buzz indicating that he hung up as I place the phone onto the table and start jumping on excitement. He called me his love!

"Eeee! I'm going on a date! With Laurance!" I scream.

For a second I think I saw the neighbour who was mowing the lawn look at me weirdly from outside I but I didn't care!

"Ahhhhh! A date!"

"A date?!" I hear a voice say from downstairs.

I peek though the stairs and see me mom looking st me with her hands crossed.

"Mija, what is this date your talkin about?" She says emotionlessly.

I give her an awkward look and say, "I'm going on a movie date with my... friends!"

She stared at me not buying it while I just stand there smiling awkwardly and doing jazz hands.

She finally sighs and says, "Alright. But if you gonna be kissin' them boys I'ma never make cookies for you yo"

I nod and slowly walk away feeling as if I was just punished. Punished with the lack of cookies in my life. Whyyy...

I sigh and sit down at my chair suddenly remembering that this is really happening. I'm going on a date. With my crush.

But then I realize, I wouldn't of been here without Garroth. He told me about Laurance, and he actually talked to Laurance about me.

I let out a shaky breath of guilt and start talking my mind if the bad things. I'm going on a date.

Lets not let my past mistakes interfere with this!
