Black or Potter?

Chapter 2: Hogwarts

"We must get going. Enjoy the training, Draco. Until next time Lucius." She said walking out of the two of them to go back to their training as Bella took her niece and headed home.

The next month and a half were very long. As each passing day went by Asheley got more and more excited. She never dreamed of getting the chance to go to the school all witches and wizards dreamed of going to. Then finally the day had finally come.

"Now remember, my dear niece. It's 9 ¾ you need. It will be the wall for the platform 9 and 10. Understand?" Bellatrix said as she pulled her niece's hood up covering her head.

"Yes, aunt Bella." Asheley said as she walked out and headed to the station.

"I love you, my dear! Make sure you excel and make your aunt proud!" Bellatrix said before smiling evily. "Now time to head to the meeting." She said grabbing her wand and disappeared into a black smoke going straight to the headquarters.

At the station Asheley had just gotten to the platform and walked through the wall making her way onto 9 ¾ and had gotten onto the train after putting her things away. But Her owl stayed with her. Her beautiful snow white Great-horned Owl, Lyka. She stayed right on her shoulder once she got into her cart on the train.

She sat there for what felt like hours before three more people walked in. She kept quiet not caring who they were as she watched out the window.

"I heard there was a muddblood going."

"I heard Harry Potter was going."

"Potter is going?!"

"What's the big deal if we have a muddblood and harry potter going? It doesn't mean any different. Focus on your magic and your grades will follow. Ugh why is it that there are such ignorant people on this train." She said with an attitude not wanting to deal with the stupid ignorance of new wizards when she noticed one of them was Draco Malfoy.

"Well, Asheley. It's good to see you again." Draco said as he looked at his two friends.

"I'm Crabbe." Said the one who spoke about Harry.

"And I'm Goyle." Said the other one.

They both held their hands towards her but she just smiled and got up walking out of their cart and onto a different one.

"She's very pretty." Goyle said

"Dude she wasn't pretty she was ho-" Crabbe tried saying when the cart of treats stopped by.

"Treats anyone?" The lady asked as they all got the treats they wanted and paid.

Draco stayed silent thinking about only one person. The one and only beautiful Asheley Black.

The rest of the trip was nice. Asheley stayed by herself in a secret room.

Once they got to the stop all the kids got escorted off the train and into boats which led them to school. Then they finally got into the school they were escorted to a lunch room. But this room was huge. It had four super long tables. It was all lit by candles. Then there was another long table sitting at the front of the room. In the middle of the table was a throne like chair with normal sized chairs on the other sides, four on each side. Behind them was four big flags. Each one had a different color and different pattern on it.

The first one was green and white and had a snake on it. The next one was blue and white with a raven on it. Then there was a red and gold one with a lion on it. Then last but not least was a black and yellow with a badger on it.

"Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am Professor Minerva McGonagall. Now if you all will line up here at the front I will call your name one by one to come up here and sit on this stool. Then I will put this sorting hat on your head where you will be sorted into houses of wither Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, or Hufflepuff." She had to take a brief pause between each one due to the houses cheering at the announce of each of their names.

One by one the new year students got separated into their houses. There were only a few names that caught her attention. Draco who got put in slytherin, Harry who got put in Gryffindor with Ronald Weasley. Then finally came Asheley's turn.

"Asheley Black." Professor McGonagall called.

Draco, who was talking with Crabbe and Gyole who were also put in Slytherin, quickly went quiet and focused on the sorting hat.

"Oh, another difficult one. Very intelligent yet very powerful. Much potential. Let's go with...Slytherin!" The sorting hat said taking a nice long pause as if trying to decide as to which one.

All of Slytherin cheered.

'Slytherin. Asheley is in Slytherin.' Draco thought in his head.

Asheley walked over to the Slytherin table and sat at an open seat which just happen to be next to Draco.

"You're in wi-" Draco tried to say when he was cut off.

There was a clinking of a glass as everyone looked forward as they seen an older man with a long grey beard stand up.

"Welcome, everyone. I am Albus Dumbledore. The headmaster of this fine establishment. I am happy to see a group of young wizards coming here to learn. I want to inform you new students about a couple things. First, the forbidden forest is strictly forbidden. Second, the third corridor on the left side is strictly forbidden. It is guarded by Mr. Flinch who is the caretaker here at Hogwarts. I do recommend you stay out of there unless you want to fall witness to a very slow and painful death. Now that that is taken care of. Let the feast begin." Then with a flick of his wrists a line of various food had appeared.

"Enjoy, once everyone is done you all will be led by your house presidents to the location of your houses." Professor McGonagall said before sitting down and eating herself.

The feast lasted about an hour and a half. Then, once that was done we were all lead to the house locations just as professor McGonagall had said.

Once in the Slytherin house we were given our shirts, ties, and robes which we were required to wear. Then when everyone had one we were sent off to our bedrooms. Girls to the left. Boys to the right.

Asheley had gotten her things and walked up the stairs on the left side going to her bed. When she got up to the bedrooms she seen many girls sitting around talking about classes they had together, different boys they thought were cute, and various other things. Asheley had shrugged her shoulder before putting her earbuds in and getting her bed ready before she took out a quill and paper to write a letter to her aunt.

-Dear Aunt Bella,

We'll I made it here safely. Thought I would give you a quick letter to inform you. I have made it into the House of Slytherin with Draco Malfoy. I will write you tomorrow after my first day. Until then, Aunt Bella. I miss you dearly and love you. - Then she had signed her name and whistled for her owl Lyka.

Lyka landed right in front of her as she nuzzled against her owner's hand.

"Lyka, I need you to deliver this home to Aunt Bella. Can you do that?" She said as she tied the letter to her leg.

Once Asheley took her hands away she held her arm out for Lyka to hop on which she did. Then Asheley walked over to the window before opening it allowing her owl to spread her wings and take off.

After Asheley made sure her owl wasn't coming back for the night she had gotten changed and curled up in her bed.
