Chapter One.

The bell rang and I walked into first period. Sliding into my desk I took out my phone and waited for the english teacher to come into class.

Summer vacation just ended and everyone was bummed to go back to school. I, on the other hand was excited. I have to finish this year and next year, then I get to go to college.

My phone vibrated. It was Hanna. My bestfriend for as long as I can remember.

Hanna: Let's go to the mall after school!

Lizzy:  Alright:)

I quickly responded. The teacher had walked in the room.

"I'm so happy school's finally over. That was a boring first day back" said Hanna

"Agreed" I say back.

I get into my car and Hanna get's into her car. We just happened to be parked together. "See you there" I say and get into my car.

We get to the mall at different times. Hanna was there first. "Took you long enough" Hanna said as I walked up to her. I looped my arm through hers and we walked into the mall.

We went into American Eagle first. It's our favourite store. Even though we're canadian and live in Canada.

We go to the food center and debate what to get. We both ended up getting Mc. Donalds. We sat down at an open table and started eating. I looked over Hannas shoulder and saw this guy staring at us. I realized I saw him a few times earlier by some of the stores we went in.

"Hanna, I think that guy in the blue jacket is following us" I whisper discreetly to my bestfriend.

"Lizzy, calm down. You always think things like that when we go to places. Just chill for once. He's not following us." Hanna said back, reassuring me.

I still didn't believe her. We would go into a store and come out and the guy would be sitting on a chair a few stores down and make direct eye contact with my when we left the store.

"I think we've been into every store. Come on Hanna lets go, we've been here for like 4 hours."

My parents know I'm at the mall and I told them I would be eating dinner here and be home around 7. It's just after 7 and I don't want to be really late with all the traffic.

We left the mall building and sure enough, blue jacket was not far behind. I tried not to panick but it didn't work.

"Thank god we got the underground parking!" Hanna yelled over the rain that suddenly started pouring down. We ran into the door to the underground parking and took our hoods off and walked towards our cars.

I turned around and didn't see blue jacket. He must have lost us when it started raining. We got to our cars and started saying our goodbyes when I saw him. He was walking toward us. He started walking faster and then he grabbed Hanna.

"HANNA!" I screamed.

"LIZZY HELP ME!"

He grabbed her and stuffed her into his van after injecting her with a needle. I reached for my phone. He ran towards me head down and punched me in the stomach. My phone hit the ground and smashed. He picked my up and threw me over his shoulder injecting me with a needle in the leg. I was flailing and I wasn't going to give up. He threw my in the back of the van and closed to doors and started driving.

"Hanna, Hanna. Are you awake?"

"Lizzy!" Was all I heard before everything went black.
