You know that moment when you're having a really good dream and then you have to wake up all of a sudden?
Yeah. Me too.
"Juliet! If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times that if you don't wake up early, nothing will get done!"
That's my mother; a strict, impatient, and sometimes completely insufferable woman.
I still love her though."I'm awake, mom." I mumbled, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. My dream was fading away more and more with each second that passed. What was worse than that was the fact that the wonderful two days called the weekend were over and I had to go back to school.
Hmph. Seems more like a prison to me.
Partially hearing the complaints about my room from my mother, I dragged myself out of bed and to the bathroom, trying to invigorate myself enough to start the day. Needless to say, it didn't work as well as I had wished. After all, who wants to go to school?
Dragging a brush through my wavy hair that never seemed to want to cooperate, I threw it up in a messy ponytail and donned a simple outfit of jeans, a t-shirt, and my favorite pair of boots.
As time dragged on, the moment where I had to wait for the bus finally arrived. Thankfully, it was warm enough, so I didn't need to pile on extra layers of clothing that made me feel like I was drowning in hot sand.
"Bye, mom." Hearing a mumbled reply back, I walked out the door and started the trek down my long driveway.
It's actually fairly peaceful around my house. There's a forest behind my wooden house, along with the peppering of neighbour's houses on either side of us. It was peaceful, but it could also get pretty lonely.
After a few minutes, I heard the bus's rumbling engine as it came down our road. Sighing, I placed my headphones over my head, blaring music that would hopefully drown out the screams of the younger kids. Nodding to the bus driver as I climbed the steps, I made my way to the back of the bus, almost collapsing into the seat and letting my music whisk me into a sea of daydreams.
