Confessions of an Alien

Ever since the day Rook met Ben, it's been a rollercoaster of emotion. Rook had always admired Ben but he never realized his admiration turned to love. The revonnahgander didn't know how handle these feelings, much less confess to his partner. But he couldn't just keep those from Ben. Partners don't keep secrets. Especially Rook. After a mission to defeat Charmcaster once again, Rook was quick to suggest they go to Mr. Smoothies. Ben was a little surprised at his eagerness for a smoothie, but he laughed and agreed immediately. God it was so cute when he laughed, Rook thought with a dark blue blush. At Mr. Smoothies, Rook paid for both smoothies and even chose a secluded spot for them to drink in peace. Ben slumped his smoothie down, looking cute as hell as he sucked on the straw. Rook swirled the straw around in his own smoothie, clearing his throat to get Ben's attention. But the hero didn't notice. Rook tried once more, clearing his throat a little louder. No dice.

"Ben."

"Mhm?" The brunette looked up from his fruity drink with his usual playfulness in his beautiful green eyes. Rook could stare into them all day. But he had to focus. He needed to do this.

"I would very much like to discuss something of importance with you." He said shakily.

Ben took notice but didn't stop sucking his smoothie, nodding in acknowledgment. His eyes shifted, becoming serious. He was obviously concerned about his partner. The thought of Ben caring about him made Rook nearly die. The alien scratched at his styrofoam cup shyly. He found he couldn't put the right words together.

"Ben I."

"I find that I am very fond of you."

Ben smiled softly, laughing a little, "I'm fond of you two weirdo."

"That's not what I meant." Rook said, getting a little frustrated with himself. He suddenly stood up, slamming his smoothie to the table, locking eyes with the famous Ben Tennyson, the one he was in love with.

"Benjamin Tennyson! I am in love with you. I love you!"

Ben glanced away for a moment, sipping his smoothie casually. Rook felt his world turn upside down. Had Ben not felt the same way? Had he just been rejected by his partner?
Then the hero looked back up into Rooks eyes and smiled, a light blush dusting his cheeks.

"Me too... weirdo."
