Miku Hatsune and Teto Kasane were best of friends, though they weren't allowed to be around because they were so different. Miku was a Vocaloid, highest of fame and respect, but Teto was an UTAU, very low in respect, and were always treated like peasants.

Miku - unlike most other Vocaloids - had a heart for UTAUs, though she never dared to share the fact in fear somebody might think she was just as low. Though in her leisure time, she often tried to find the poor pink-haired UTAU.

Teto was baking a loaf of bread in her oven when she heard a knock on her door. "Who could that be?" She wondered as she walked over to her beaten wooden front door. When she saw a Vocaloid, Miku Hatsune, standing there, she gasped and began to feel nervous.

Was she here to punish Teto?

Why was a girl of such high standards come to her old, one-roomed home?

The bread-loving girl regained sense, and bowed to Miku.

"I'm very sorry, Miss Hatsune, that my home is no-"

"Non-sense! I think your house is lovely! May I come in?" Miku asked, leaving a bewildered Teto to step aside.

"O-oh.. Thank you very much, Miss Hatsune. That means much coming from you, and of course you may come in."

"You're very welcome, and thank you, you really are kind." Miku smiled, and sniffed the air in the room. "I smell bread?" Teto nodded, still visibly shaking from nervousness.

She had no idea as to why Miss Hatsune - a girl of much respect - had already been so nice to a poor unclean girl like Teto.

"It smells so nice! Are you baking it?" Teto nodded again and asked, "Miss Hatsune, may I ask with much respect, why are you being so kind?"

Miku smiled and answered, "Your baking smells perfect! Please, call me Miku. I'm being kind because I feel like it's the right thing to do, unlike many other Vocaloids. Sad, isn't it?"

Teto nodded and motioned for Miku to sit on a chair by the table. "Yes. It is," Teto agreed with a  slight sigh. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry!"

I'm Teto Kasane! Would you like a slice of bread? It's nearly done, it just has to cool." Miku smiled  again at Teto. "Yes, Teto, it's delicious smell has quite intrigued," Miku claimed.

The poor girl thanked the rich girl.

Teto cut the freshly baked loaf of bread and gave a slice to the Princess of Vocaloid.

The Princess of Vocaloid! It had just occured to Teto that Miku was a princess! How could she forget?! Even moreso, Miss Hatsune has been so kind - even complimented her home when others would just insult it and complain how filthy it is.

Teto was afraid of saying anything along the lines of "Oh my gosh! I almost forgot you're the princess!"

Miku smiled and stood up. "It's okay, not many greet my presence here."

Did Teto say it aloud? Atleast it was Miss Miku instead of Princess Kagamine. She was the most evil and vicious leader in their history. In fact, she was the one who started the UTAU's suffering. Rin Kagamine was murdered, and then Miss Miku came.

The pink haired teenager - only age 15 - was ten years old at the time of Rin Kagamine's death.

She was glad she didn't have to live through much.

"I have to leave. I'll arrive tomorrow if I can, is that alright?" Miku asked cautiously.

Teto nodded and offered the princess bread for her traveling. The green haired princess declined; she didn't want to raise suspicion. Teto understood immediately and promised Miss Miku there will be fresh bread and soup.

Miku found the time and fled out the door.

Interesting way to end a night. Well, the moon's almost right above my house, Teto thought, as she peeked through her door. She quickly closed it though, due to the cold rushing in.

As she cleaned her fairly messy home, she thought about Miku.

Maybe this is all ridiculous. Well, I could just follow her..? No. That's wrong. Still, what if she's not nice at all? What if she's Kagamine? She might be planning to murder me tomorrow!

With that, Teto ran as fast as she was able to. She's been to the town few times as she lived in the forest, unlike most UTAUs, but she knew a shortcut. Running would take about twenty minutes- but the shortcut Teto knew cut it down to merely ten minutes.
