Epilogue

“Abigail get down here!” Travis yells up the stairs.

Mine and Travis's daughter walks down the stairs.

“What is it Dad?” She asks.

“Aren't you going to be late?” Travis asks.

“Oh shoot I forgot!” Abigail squeaks before grabbing her lunch and running towards the door. “Bye Dad! Bye Papa!” She yells before running out the door.

“Bye Abigail.” Me and Travis chime.

Travis comes and sits beside me on the couch, snuggling into my side.

“Man, Parenting is difficult.” I say with bit of a chuckle.

“You have no idea.” He answers with a smile.

I kiss his forehead before standing up.
“Want me to make you a coffee?” I ask.

“Please.” Travis answers.

I walk into the kitchen and turn on the coffee maker.

“Hey Travis?” I ask.

“Yeah?” He answers from the living room. 

“Abi was late.” I say.

Travis sighs. “I'll drive her.”

“Nonono I will.” I say with a smile. “You can just, chill here.”

“Really?” He asks.

“Yes. You deserve to relax.” I say.

Travis hugs me and gives me a peck on the lips.

I grab the car keys and jump into the car, I pull out of the driveway and start driving.

I see Abi and stop the car. She walks up to the car and sits in the front seat.

“Sorry I was late.” She apologises.

“I wanted you to be.” I say with a smirk.

“Why?” She asks, confusion plastered on her face.

“Dad's birthday is tomorrow. So I wanted you and me to get him a present.” I explain.

Abi smiles, “Okay!”

When me and Abi got home Travis was sleeping on the couch.

We walked up the stairs and wrapped his gift, we wrote in the card, and we put his cake in the freezer.

Abi went into her room after and was talking on the phone with a friend.

I picked Travis up and carried him to our room. I placed him on our bed and fell sound asleep after.

The following morning I was the first awake. I woke up Abi and went downstairs to make her lunch.

I start to make breakfast and put the cooked bacon and eggs on a plate and place it on the table. I also make some french toast and put that down as well.

Abi walks down the stairs tired. “Why did you wake me up so early?” She asks.

Then she spots the breakfast and smiles.

“Wow.” Was all she said.

“Sit down and do NOT eat yet.” I say.

She nods and does what I said.

I go into mine and Travis's room and jump onto the bed.

“Wake up.” I say.

Travis jerks up. “Oh my Irene, did I forget about Abi's lunch?” He asks.

“No, I got that.” I say, “Come downstairs.”

He follows me downstairs and looks at the breakfast.

“Oh..my..gosh..” He says before walking towards the table.

“Happy birthday!” Me and Abi chime at the same time.

Travis smiles, “Thank you. ”

I hand him his present when he sits down. He reads the card and smiles again.

Then he opens the present and sees what me and Abi got him.

Its a picture of all of us in a clock. Along with some chocolate.

He smiles and gives us both a hug.

“I love it!” He exclaims.

We finish our breakfast and Abi goes off to school.

I smile at Travis.

“It's weird to think that just 10 years ago we didn't even like each other.” I say.

“It is..”

“I love you Travis, so much.” I say with a blush.

“I love you too Zane.” Travis says, “so much.”

I gave him a hug and kissed him.

It's when you find someone,
to enjoy it with.
