I started my drive home from the park. I pulled to a stop at a red light and I realized I needed gas. I quickly turned left to the nearest gas station, a Shell station. As soon as I pulled to a complete stop, I turned off the engine and stepped outside. I almost forgot my wallet in the car. I opened the door and reached in my purse to grab my wallet. Grabbing my credit card I stuck it in the pay slot and grabbed my receipt.
It took a bit longer than expected to get home because of heavy traffic. By the time I got home it was 5:00 pm. My front door keys fell out of my purse on the way up the stairs and I suddenly heard rustling in the leaves behind me. I turned my body as fast as I could to see nothing there but an innocent little chipmunk. Continuing on my way in the door, I saw my dad had left me a note taped to the mirror. Gee, I wonder how he knew to tape it there… It read, “Honey, please do not be mad at me but unfortunately I had to leave for my trip a little early. I will be home in 3 days. I hope you can take care of yourself. And do not be worried about your mother. Even though neither of us has heard from her in a week, I’m sure she’s taking great care of herself right now. If she happens to show up while I am gone, call me ASAP!! See you in three days Addison. Love, your father
Reading this message has reminded me that Cody is gonna come here tomorrow. Hmm. I am guessing that he will be here after noon which will give me enough time to get ready and eat. Unless we will do that when he gets here. I really need to think this over as I sleep.
I run upstairs skipping one each step and march to my room. I grab my giraffe spotted fluffy pants, and a tank top. I change after I shut my windows so no one can see me. Turning off the light I race to my bed. It only takes me two steps. New record!! I think to myself. I jumped out of bed remembering I forgot to plug my phone in. I plug it in and the screen lights up. A new snapchat, from a user named _A_d_d_<3. I’ll check it tomorrow. I think right before I jump in bed, literally, and fall asleep.
