Percy's point of view

After the door to the Poseidon, cabin opened I saw my younger brother for the first time. He'd clearly gotten dad's sea green eyes, and he must have gotten his mortal mother's hair colour since his hair was brown. When he saw me he was silent for a moment before he stuttered, "your-you're him. You're Percy Jackson."

I nodded and said, "And you're Michael Peters, my half brother."

He said, "How?"

I guessed that he didn't understand how I knew his name already. I replied, "Dad told me about you."

After that, he nodded understanding before moving away from the doorway and allowing me to enter. After I entered the cabin and shut the door he asked, "I thought you left camp years ago, what made you decide to come back?"

"Do you know why I left in the first place?" I asked hoping I wouldn't have to explain that.

He nodded before saying, "Yes everyone here does, we always wondered where you'd gone and if you were alright, but the gods wouldn't tell us anything other than the fact that you were fine and we didn't need to search for you."

After that I explained to him that I had come back for three reasons really and that they were, to take Silena here, to see my old friends, and to meet him. I spoke to him for a while before he told me that like me his main weapon was the sword, but he could use a spear or a dagger if he had to.

He also mentioned that he hadn't learned how to use all his powers yet. I told him I could help him with that, but I asked if he would practice swordplay with me since it had been a while since I had really been able to practice. I didn't get to practice much because I couldn't risk Silena seeing me, and the rare occasions I had gotten to practice with Nico or Thalia were just that, rare. The only times I'd ever really used riptide were when I was facing monsters.

We headed to the sword arena where I uncapped riptide, and he unsheathed his sword. We got into position before he made the first move, I dodged his blow before he made another attempt. We exchanged blows for a while before the fight ended when I disarmed him with the technique luke had taught me so many years before.

After we finished he said, "If that was you out of practice I wouldn't want to be fighting you at your usual skill level."

I couldn't help but be slightly amused by his statement, I know everyone says that I'm the best swordsman in the last three hundred years and that I'm the greatest hero in history, but I just do what has to be done when it has to happen. And due to the fact I hadn't been able to practice in a while, I felt that I was out of practice.

Silena's Point of view

When I entered the Hermes cabin I could see that most of the kids in the cabin looked kind of similar and I guessed they looked like the god Hermes. The Stoll brothers looked so alike you would almost think they were twins except one was a bit taller than the other.

Most of the kids all seemed to have a mischevious look on their face as if they were planning something. The Stoll brothers told me where I could stay if I wasn't claimed this evening, but it looked like they suspected that I would probably be claimed at either dinner or the campfire.

Eventually, I heard some kind of horn go off, I asked, "What was that?" Travis replied, "That's the conch horn, it means it's dinner time."

I nodded, and all the kids lined up in order of seniority. Obviously, that meant I was last, but it didn't make much difference to me. we headed to the dining pavilion and sat down at the Hermes table after we got our food everyone started getting up again. Confused I asked one of the other kids about it. They said that they give burnt offerings to the gods. Obviously, when I got to the fire I didn't know what goddess to give my offering to since I hadn't been claimed yet. Due to that I just said, "Whoever you are let me know please."

After I dropped my offering into the fire a strange combination of scents hit my nose. okay, another weird thing to add to my list of crazy things that happened today. after that, I returned to my seat and we were about to start eating when Chiron tapped his hoof on the floor before saying that he had some announcements to make. He said, "I wish to announce the return of Perseus Jackson."

He continued saying, "There is also a new camper with us tonight, she is Silena Andromeda Jackson."

When Chiron mentioned my dad all eyes turned to the Poseidon table where he sat with a guy that looked to be a couple years older than me. Dad had mentioned that he had a half-brother here and they seemed to be getting along. I wasn't quite ready to think about the guy as my uncle that just seems a bit too weird at the moment. I think I must have done a double take when I first saw Chiron even though my dad had told me what to expect. I guess I just hadn't quite believed him until I saw Chiron myself.

When Chiron mentioned me everyone's attention turned to me. as they were looking at me, though, looks of slight surprise appeared on their face, and the boys' attention seemed to increase.  I couldn't help but wonder why their attention seemed to have doubled. my dad looked unsurprised as if his suspicions had been confirmed.  I couldn't help but wonder why they were all looking at me like that.

That's when I realized that a red glow surrounded me but based on the looks on most of the boys' faces I guessed that wasn't the only reason they were gawking at me. I looked down at myself and that's when I realized that my clothes had gone from shorts and a t-shirt to a dress and my shoes had gone from sneakers to sandals with rhinestones on them.

My earrings were the same but a necklace had been added. my hair also hung down my back having been freed from its braid. I  didn't realize my makeover as my mom claiming me, and due to that, I didn't make the connection to which goddess my mother was until Chiron said it. He said, "Hail Silena Jackson Daughter of Aphrodite Lady of the doves, Goddess of love." Chiron bowed, and the other campers followed his lead.

After that, we finished dinner, and as I was leaving the dining pavilion a woman who looked to be around my dad's age walked up to me. she had choppy brown hair and eyes that seemed to change colour every time you looked at them. She told me that she was Piper McLean the head counselor for my mom's cabin. She took me to meet my half-siblings and we headed toward the campfire.
