A Pirate's Life For Me

*Darcy's POV*

"LORI LORI LORI LORI," I yelled as I ran into Lori's house without knocking. It's cool though because her family loves me and I basically live there.

"Up here, D," Lori yelled from the top of her stairs. "What's up?"

"Guess what I just found in the bottom of my closet?"

"Do I even wanna know?" She asked a little scared.

"Yes!" I exclaimed.

"Okay, ummm..I don't know."

"Remember when we were in Mr. Evers' class and he was lecturing on how it's important to pay attention and we weren't paying attention and talking about how we like pirates?"

"Yeah..."

"I FOUND MINE AND TOM'S OLD PIRATE BOOK!" I screamed. Lori got the most excited look on her face.

"LET ME SEE IT!" She screamed back. She snatched the book from my hands and began to read it. It had all kinds of stuff about pirates in it. From what they wore to their weapons to the ships to all the pirates in history and more. It even had a treasure map in it. Tom would read it to me when I was younger. He got it for me when I was a pirate for a ballet. Yes, I Darcy Parker was a ballerina, but don't go there. Those were dark times.

"This is so cool. I might have to steal this from you," She said still reading.

"No way! I share this with Tom. He'd hate me if I lost it or SOMEONE stole it," I playfully glared at her. She laughed and continued reading. Then, I got the best idea.

"LORI! LETS PLAY PIRATES!" I yelled sounding like I was five. I am at heart okay.

"YES! I HAVE CLOTHES AND DYLAN HAS SWORDS!" She then ran into Dylan's room to get I guess swords. I started going through her closet to find stuff. I grabbed two white blouses, two pairs of skinny jeans, and two bandanas. She walked back in with two swords and a captain hat.

"I call captain!" I exclaimed and grabbed the hat. "You can be my first mate."

"Aye aye Captain Darcy." She solluted me.

"That's Princess Captain Darcy to you, Princess First Mate Lori."

We got dressed in the clothes quickly.

"Who's our first victim?" Lori asked.

"Dylan," I smiled evilly. She smiled evilly too and we went after Dylan.

"You guys are so mean!" Dylan said as we chased him around the house.

"Argh, Ye won't be gettin' away this time!" I said in my pirate voice as Lori grabbed him.

"LORI! Let me go! You're more annoyinger than me!" He yelled. Lori's mom came in and yelled at her for being annoying. "Why don't you go get Dax?"

"Dax is across the street?" I asked in a hopeful voice. Dylan nodded.

"TO THE SALVIA'S!" I exclaimed.

"Okay, so, here's the plan," I said to Lori. We were going after Dax and making him 'walk the plank'. Well, more like in the bathtub at the house. Lori was gonna sneak in after I make a big scene and fill the bathtub up with water.

"Got it?" I asked. She nodded. Time to go.

"Argh Ye scalawags be a terrible crew!" I yelled walking into the house. Kaylee was making food and Kal and Dax were sitting at the island talking to her. They gave me a weird look.

"What stupid mess have you gotten yourself into now, Darcy?" Kal asked.

"Nothin' and that's Princess Captain Darcy to you ye weevil.!"

"Well, whatever it is, it's at least stupid," Dax rolled his eyes.

"Argh, fer that one ye be walkin' the plank!" Lori said behind Dax.

"Oh no, not Lori too!" He exclaimed.

"That's Princess First Mate to you ye scalawag!" She said and poked his back with her sword. She poked him until she poked hard enough that he actually stood up. Kal laughed and I think he joined our side. Yay for Kal's crush on Lori!

"GET. OUT. OF. MY. KITCHEN. ALL OF YOU!" Kaylee yelled and pushed us into the hallway where the stairs are. Lori and I started to poke Dax up the stairs. Kal joined us

"Fifteen men on the dead man's chest. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum," I sang as we poked Dax to his watery grave. Kal and Lori joined me.

"You guys are so annoying," Dax kept repeating. Finally, we made it to the bathroom.

"Walk the plank," Lori and I ordered. Dax gave Kal a look like to help him or something. Kal gave him a look saying he's more afraid of us than him.

"I'm not doing that!"

"Fine," I said and pushed him into the tub. Lori, Kal, and I laughed. Dax was mad.

"DAMMIT DARCY!" He screamed.

We continued laughing and sang "Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me!" all the way to the kitchen and ate the food Kaylee made.
