I woke up the next day and Finn was downstairs with the kids fixing breakfast. He looked at me and said
"Good morning!" And kissed my cheek as I poured some coffee
The kids squealed and I said
"Good morning! Thank you for getting the kids up! Also for cooking breakfast...but since when do you cook?"
"Well you see I picked some stuff up along the way." He said putting eggs on the kids' plate
"Mmmmmm so what do you want for dinner tonight? My treat!"
"Nice try dear but it's my treat cause we are having chicken parmesean."
"Chicken what?" Asked Julian
"Don't worry honey you'll love it! I promise! You've had it before when uncle Jack cooked it." I said
"Oh okay mommy!" He said finishing his eggs and eating his toast and bacon
"Are you kids almost ready?" I asked
"Yeah mommy!" They said together
Finn looked at me and said "Do they talk at the same time a lot?"
"Yeah...it's kinda the twin thing...I thought you would know that cause of you and Jack." I said
"We don't talk at the same time..." He said putting the bowls, silverware, pans, and plates in the sink
"Yes you do." I said
He looked at me and said in a joking tone
"Whatever!"
I rolled my eyes and said "Alright kids run upstairs brush your teeth and come down so I can take you to school! Okay?"
"Okay mommy!" They said running upstairs
They came back down and I went to grab the keys and Finn grabbed my hand and said
"Do you want me to take them?"
"No its okay you cooked breakfast so finish cleaning up the mess and I'll take them it's okay!"
"Okay! I'll see you when you get back!"
"Okay?" I said "Hey guys head out to the car and I will be there in a second. Alright?"
"Okay mommy."
"You okay?" He asked
"Yeah I'm fine...I was going to ask you the same thing."
"Yeah why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know. Are you upset that I'm taking them to school?"
"No why would I be?"
"I don't know but if you are...you know upset about something then please tell me! If it makes you feel better we can switch days and one day you cook breakfast and then I take the kids to school and we flip spots each day..."
"Yeah that's fine." He said
"Hey look at me." I said putting my hand to the side of his face "I love you!"
"I love you too!" He said then kissed me
Suddenly when that happened his entire mood changed and I laughed to myself and said
"Is that all you wanted was a kiss?"
"I don't know what you're talking about..." He said grinning at the sink
I laughed and said "Rotten."
"I am not rotten now go and take the kids to school so they're not late."
