I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE BOOK. THANK YOU

I try to breath calmly, no matter what I do, I can't bring down my heart rate or the constant sweat dripping from my forehead. It's hard when dozens of eyes are watching you walk up on stage, and shake the presidents hand. Two weeks ago, I turned fifteen, and today is the twenty-eighth of November.

Every twenty-eighth of November, new fifteen year old's goes to Nicoma. They each then wait until their name is called, they walk onto stage, shake the presidents hand, and receive their diploma for graduating school. When we receive our diploma, we are also given a card that contains every single piece of information about us. Our country is very different from the others across the globe. Our country has been affected by our ancestors, known as the Americans, others country's have stayed the same for dozens of years. We live in the Continental Range, which is made up of eight providence's, each providence specializes in a certain resource that is beneficial to us. We have sixty days to evaluate seven of the providence's, and find out what we want to do. If some people are unsure, they go to a building in Nicoma, the capital of the Continental Range, the Ignarus. The Ignarus has eight sections of the building, what ever providence you were born into, you go there. You are then given a stack of magazines, each specifying that providence, telling you the pros, cons, how much it cost to live there, how long you can work, jobs they have to offer, and so much more. You then are given a survey, when done, you give the survey to the worker, and they put it through a machine. It takes only a couple seconds for the computer to analyze your results, when it is finished, it will print out a paper telling you what providence is best for you, and all the details that go with it.

If you have decided what providence you choose, you go to the Arbitrium. It's kind of like the Ignarus, the building has eight sections, but what ever providence you choose, you go into that section. When you are in the room, you swipe your identification card, and a couple seconds later, you are then given a printed information packet, it tells you everything you need to know about what you will do for the next upcoming years. You then have a week to go back to the house you live in, and pack up. When you become sixteen, you find out who you marry, and how many kids you are allowed to have, based on how well you did financially that year.

My best friend Echo walks on stage, smiling with glee. President Lineal shakes her hand with a smile, hands her the diploma and ID. She walks off.

"Corteisa Aspen" says the announcer. I walk up the espresso brown stairs till I reach the platform. I walk moderately fast to greet President Lineal, When I reach him, I shake his hand firmly, and I quietly thank him. I make sure that my flowy, formal white dress, doesn't trip me down the stairs, making an embarrassment to my friends. My mother and father congratulate me and give me plenty of hugs.
