Finally! This is the day I've been waiting for! TRYOUTS! Mauuna ang tryouts ng swimming team kaya naman I tidied myself and went to the pool. Konti lang ang mga magttryouts. This gave me a little bit of confidence. I wore my suit then my swim cap and goggles and dived. Pinagwarm-up kami ni Coach Chito, ang team coach ng women's swimming team.
I did my normal laps and monitored my time. Then the team captain arrived right at the end of my lane.
"Very impressive, better be ready. Tryouts start in 2 minutes." sabi niya.
Madyo kinabahan ako nang kausapin ako ng ni Captain Carla. She's scary.
Coach Chito blew the whistle, signalling the beginning of the assessment. Each of us was given our own lane since there is only a few of us. The assistant coach called out our names and then I was already up.
I got in the pool and performed all the strokes. Individual medley to be specific. Then they tapped the clock and they seemed satisfied on my performance. Bukas pa malalaman ang mga nakapasok kaya naman hindi mawala wala ang kaba ko.
Geeeeeeez.....chills down my spine bruh.
Next stop, volleyball tryouts.
Phew.
After showering, I blowdried my hair para naman di ako mukhang basang sisiw habang nagvvolleyball. I ate my protein bar and drank my detox juice.
Habang naglalakad ako ay may nakita akong familiar face.
Is that Beatriz?
They are wearing an Ateneo jacket. I wandered my eyes and napansin ko ang mga kasama ni Beatriz. Wait........ nakasuot ng volleyball jersey ang mga kasama niya.
Oh my 😮
Hindi kaya kasama siya sa team?
I didn't know how to feel. I felt tensed? I guess. But I can't find any acceptable reason.
I just brushed it off and went to the BEG walking ahead of them so nobody would notice me.
