Chapter 1 - I learn not to challenge Clarisse

When I came to I was laying on a bed in a building that appeared to be an infirmary. There was a guy stood in the corner watching me and a few people looking at me strangely one of which was the strange girl who had saved my life in the alleyway. I immediately panicked and practically screamed where the heck am I? An older man in a wheelchair spoke up first. 

"You are at camp half-blood, a place for special people like you." He said
"a place for ADHD and dyslexia freaks who live on the streets?!" I asked confused and angry.
"I'm Chiron by the way." He said.
"Chiron? That horse/ man thingy from mythology ?" I ask.
Chiron seemed a little insulted by my question and called over the two boys who looked like twins, he called them Conner and Travis. "show Aria around camp and explain the whole demigod thing to her!" Chiron said wearily.
"Oh! And Conner, Travis no pick pocketing or stealing" Chiron shouted.
The boys nodded and half dragged half led me out of the infirmary.

I was walking along behind Conner and Travis when they suddenly stopped making me crash into them. O my gods I am so sorry I told them but they told me it was okay. Peeking over their shoulders I saw this totally strong girl climbing an climbing wall that get this was spurting hot lava, all of the sudden that girl leapt down and came toward us.
"New girl eh?" She said.
"N-n-no" Conner stuttered.
The girl grabbed me by the shoulder, I don't know what happened but all of the sudden she screamed out in pain and I saw a birth of burnt grass and foliage around around me. The girl looked at me once and ran screaming.
"Connor, Travis, what just happened? I asked, scared.
"Clarisse just grabbed you, but had to let go when an inferno shot up around you." They said in unison.
Travis was looking at me with a strange look in his eyes and I asked him why he was staring at me like that. He blushed.
"It's your eyes!" Was all he said. I realized no one had really seen my eyes before, they're normally hidden by a hood or my bangs.
"Your eyes are like a wirling vortex of fire! It's wicked!" He grinned.
Conner was staring at me in awe. Our conversation is interrupted, rudely I might add, by my stomach. It was then that I realized I was starving- I hadn't had anything to eat since last week, Travis noticed my grumbling stomach first.
"follow me" he said.

So I did he took me to a cabin with a staff that had two snakes twined around it above the door.
"This is the herme's cabin. You will stay here, with us, until you have been claimed." He told me.
"What is being 'claimed'" I asked.
"it means that your godly parent would say that you are their child" he responded.
"Do you have a mother, or a father?" He asked.
"I don't actually know" I admitted.
He looked at me sympathetically.
"Save your sympathy, I don't want it." I snap.

Conner chuckled at my sass and told me to wait just a moment. When he came back he had an apple, a bag of chips, some soda pop (cherry cola) and a yogurt. I devoured the food and noticed Travis had disappeared along with Conner
"Red food is better!" I murmur, causing the person nearest to me to chuckle. I then asked that person where the twins might have gone and she said most likely stealing from the camp store.
"Uh, where is the store?" I asked.
"Just past the lave rock wall and on the right." She said.
Following her directions to the store and sure enough there were the twins picking the locks, as I came close they straightened.
"We just got some stuff for you, ya know toiletries and sneakers and the like." They said.
"thanks guys"! I half shout and hug them.
