The door bell rang and a few seconds later my mum calls my name. I answer but she doesn't hear me.
"How inconsiderate of you." "Cameron? Oh hey man." Cameron stood by my door looking at me with fake disappointment while I was on YouTube. "When you fail eleventh grade because you were busy watching life hack videos, don't complain." "Oh shut up. It's not like you put in one hundred percent of effort into your own work.", I fight back."Erghh" Cameron made a sound with his tongue sticking out. "Anyway, I came to your humble abode to inform you about a gathering which-"
"Cameron!"I shouted, for him to talk normally again. "Okay, okay. There's this thing on Friday at...wait today's Sunday the 8th...yeah on Friday the 13th at Mallenbay Fields, over 18 of course, where you bring drinks and snacks and shit. There'll be music, entertainment and so on. Problem is, it's from eight pm till two am. Wanna go?"
"You know my parents won't let me. Hello? Over 18, late night?"
"Yes! That's why I was thinking..."
"No! Cameron I'm not going to sneak out with you." I protest. I've snuck before, twice. The first time was to the stadium with Cameron and Matthew at one in the morning, which was a success. Watching the moonlight from high up like that was unforgettable. Second time though, to the most well known party of the year though- not too great when pictures go all over Facebook."Aria" he dragged each letter of my name. "Don't be such a buzzkill. It's even free. You did it before so you can do it again. Anyway, even if you don't go, I'm going. How you spend your Friday night is your choice."
"*sigh* What's this thing called?" I ask hesitantly, and see a spark of excitement on his face.
