Roderick looked up just in time as the frame of a pale creature body was illuminated by the setting sun. Roderick follows below thinking of the notes his employer gave him. The creature was named the slender a nocturnal creature with the body frame of a human with long arms and large hands with slender fingers used to strangle its prey before feeding on them. The slender digs its nails into a tree leaving marks as the slender begins to slide down. As the slender nears the ground Roderick opens his cloak and pulls out a crossbow and begins to fire but the creature is to fast as it jumps to another tree then leaps to the ground . The sun finally setting all the way as the slender stands straight up it body standing at around nine feet tall. The slender is five yards away as its pupil less blue eyes glowed in the darkness as the moon didn't illuminate the sky that night. Thinking back to the notes the slender doesn't make a sound unless it's has been injured.
Roderick plants his torch into the ground as he better prepares himself to fight lifting the crossbow and aiming it directly at the Slender. The slender begins to charge at Roderick who fires a shot that pierces directly into the slander's chest a couple inches away from the heart. The shot doesn't stop the Slender as it begins to make a loud wailing sound similar to a baby crying as it leaped upward about two feet before coming down on Roderick as he dodges it and continues to fire at the slender several more bolts hit the slender as it continues to move with flinching in the slightest from the shots. As the slender comes at Roderick more aggressively Roderick he remembers from the notes that the slender doesn't wail cause of the pain from it's injuries but the feeling of its blood pumping faster beginning the increased healing factor it has. The slender swings with its hands extended out as it aims to grab hold of Roderick who stays a foot ahead as he thinks back to hunting bears as a child and how the moment you stop is the moment the hunt ends and the hunter becomes the prey.
As the slender comes at Roderick its body healing factor has fully healed the wounds from the crossbow bolts pushing them out of the Slender's body without any assistance.
