"Troy" pool hall was nearly deserted save for a single patron and a bartender organizing the inventory, making note of the things he was going to have to get from the back room. The patron sighed and lifted her glass to her lips, downing the last of the Tequila loving the slight burn of it, 'dammit,' she thought 'I don't feel drunk yet.' She sighed again looking down at the other six glasses surrounding her section of the bar. Normally she would have brought a friend with her if she was going out to get drunk, or at least invited them because they hate to be left out of a party, but this time she just felt like being alone and drowning her rage. She attempted to take another gulp of her drink only to find it empty, sluggishly she raised her hand and got the bartender's attention, "I need a refill."

"Coming right up Miss..."

"Nicole, but you can call me Nic."

"Well, here you go Nic," he grasped the bottle and grabbed two glasses. "I'm Achilles by the way, you can call me Achilles." Nicole chuckled at the joke, her bright grey eyes finally starting to cloud over showing she was finally feeling the effects of all those drinks. He set the glasses in front of them and whistled at the empty glasses around her, "rough night?"

"You have no idea." As soon as the drink was filled she grabbed it and threw it down her throat slamming it down on the counter, her rage coming back full force at the thought of what happened to her today.

Achilles grabbed a stool he stashed behind the bar (for just this reason) and sat, placing his head in his palms as he took a slow drink. "I'm all ears I need something to pass the time." She opened her mouth as if to interrupt and he raised a hand, "I don't care if it's a long story," he looked at his watch and sighed, "I still have three hours left in my shift before I can close and this place is a damn ghost town." Nicole only just then noticed that they were alone and shrugged. 'I might as well tell him, maybe he can even help me in my plans for revenge.'

"Well... It all started this morning right after I got out of school..."

* Flashback*

Nicole smiled to herself as she walked through the double doors of her school for the first time after testing for three hours, it was finally over and she was done with the first semester of her Junior year, Winter break was here, and today was her eighteenth birthday; things couldn't get any better. She planned to have the best day ever, spending the morning with her family and her pets, the evening with her friends at a club and the night would be spent with her boyfriend Rayden. Nicole sighed, "It's gonna be the start of a great break."

She skipped the rest of the way through the parking lot, weaving through the cars to get to her motorcycle in the very back. She slipped the helmet on her head after making sure that her short black hair wouldn't get messed up too bad, swinging her leg over she started the bike and released the kickstand just about to take off like a bat out of hell but her path was blocked by two of her best friends. James and his little brother Jacob, they were twins but they didn't really look alike and they were always fighting with each other. "Nic, wait!" James yelled right in her ear and she repositioned her bike, taking her helmet off.

"James, you do know that I am right in front of you and I had already stopped right?" 'At least he had enough sense to look embarrassed after that.' He rubbed the back of his neck, unconsciously flexing the muscles in his arms. "What is it guys?"

"Well, first we wanted to tell you happy birthday and that we have some really horrible news." Jacob smiled but then it morphed into a serious and slightly sad face. Nic had no idea what was wrong but it must be something bad for Jacob to look this bad, he was known to never act serious unless it was a critical situation.
