John-A222 stands with the rest of Nova Team on the far outskirts of Quezon. The sky is filled with smoke and clouds as the sun sets. They have been fighting there for just over two days and now... ?
Now they watch the city burn.
The Spartans stand in the rocks, watching from the distance. Evacuation Pelicans flee the cityscape as Covenant ships glass the city. Adam-B226 sits on the ground and leans against a rock. "Commander, how long do you think Reach has left?" John continues to watch the city, the blue beams and orange flames glaring in his visor. He speaks gravely, "Not long enough." The land rumbles as another beam descends to the city streets. Buildings collapse. A buzzing sound grows louder and stronger into a repeating pop as a Falcon approaches. John looks over at the other five Spartans. "Our ride is here..."
