The plane touches down in paradise. It's warm, it's sunny and the wind is blowing through our hair. The air is nice, and just being here with you is all I could ever want. We had planned this for some time. We couldn't wait to be here.

Day 1morning : We arrive. In a hurry we unpack our things. Their is an event you've been bragging about that you wanted us to take part in. An annual parade that you couldn't wait to show me. We run down the block. There is music blaring. There is people laughing and yelling. The sun beats down on us from above. We changed our clothes to blend in. I'm so happy to be here with you. No work, no worries, just you and I. Minute by minute we explore the town. There are various home made vehicles painted and rigged with lights. The outfits of the drivers correspond. There is music of all types being played. They are all morphing into one big lump of sound. It gave me a headache but I didn't care. My eyes were always on you. At the end of the event we ended up clear across the town. It was nighttime. Against the bright lights from parties, bars, and shops I could still see the stars above. You just kept telling me, " I'm finally home". You were right, this place is perfect. Out of the thousands of people that flooded the streets, you were all I could see. Only you stood out amongst the crowd and I couldn't have imagined being here with anyone else.

Day1 night: After running around like toddlers in a candy store, I was ready to head home. I was completely spent after enjoying the festivities of the evening. You disagreed. You insisted on just letting the fun continue for a bit longer, but I had had enough. You know this place better than I and I had no clue where I was going. I received the information for our stay but did not know exactly where I was headed. I began walking away. Under the influence, you stumbled after me. We quarreled in the streets and sat on the steps of a store that was closed for the night. We made a scene in front of the few people that passed us. We fought over a lighter and both got burned. You apologized. I was still upset. You hurt me and my feelings with the words that were said. You agreed to come home with me. Some guys were following us and you wanted to protect me. You picked me up and carried me the rest of the way home. We found our way to the spot, but all of a sudden your attitude changed. You got mad at me. I didn't understand why. You called me names and left me alone in a place I was unfamiliar with. I ran away. I was angry, frustrated and scared. I found someone to help me. He brought me inside. You seen me and ran for me. I just wanted to be alone and go to sleep but you cornered me instead. With tears in my eyes and anger in my chest I went to pass you but you grabbed me. I didn't like feeling helpless. I didn't like the control you had for that second. I screamed and you let go. I ran inside, and you followed. I sat on the bed and you sat beside me. I couldn't look at you. I was so upset. This was or first fight ever. You felt bad and apologized. You said you didn't mean to hurt me but that you got carried away with all of the excitement and didn't know how to handle it. You tried to kiss me. I turned away. We sat. We talked. You cried, I cried. You held me close, I held you too. You told me you loved me for the first time and I was so happy. You lifted  my head and with tears streaming down my face, my makeup sliding off, my hair a wild mess you looked me in the eyes and told me I'm the most gorgeous girl you ever met. You wiped away my tears and kissed me. Those lips felt like rose petals, your touch was warm, your voice was sweet and your embrace felt safe. You laid down and pulled me close. We drifted off into slumber after an eventful night.
