Eric's POV                                                                                                                                                                               I hummed to myself while chewing my gum as I walked up the few steps. I rung the doorbell and blew a bubble as I waited and the door swung open.

"Uncle Eric!" Nhemo yelled smiling and jumped on me out of nowhere hugging me, making my bubble pop.

"Ew." I said taking the gum off my face and threw it away at near by garbage bin before hugging him back.

Nhemo giggled looking up at me. I grinned before picking him up making him squeal smiling. I placed him on my shoulders.

"So how are ya kid?" I asked glancing up at him while walking inside the house.

"Goooood." he said swinging his legs smiling before pouting. "But daddy seems sad." he said as I closed the door behind us.

"I'm sorry kid." I said and I felt him lay his head in mine making me glance up at him. "Speaking of him, where is your daddy?" I asked.

"Upstairs." he yawned and I took him off my shoulders carefully then carried him over to the living room before laying him down on the couch.

He mumbled as he closed his eyes and I covered him with a blanket. I walked quietly away then headed upstairs. I went over to Lenny's room since the door was wide open. I found Lenny laying back on the bed staring up at the ceiling. I glanced at all the unopened envelopes all over his bed. I sighed softly and knocked on his door to get his attention. His eyes glanced my direction before he sat up.

"Sorry, I didn't notice you were there." he said and I walked over to him.

"I guess you didn't know Nhemo let me in either?" I asked crossing my arms and raised a eyebrow.

"I'm the one who told him to let you in. I saw you out the window." he said and I nodded sighing in relief.

"Anyways, are you going to ever read these letters?" I asked looking around at all the letters as he looked down.

"I don't know." he mumbled.

"How about we read them together?" I asked and he shook his head.

"I want to try to read them on my own." he said huffing.

"Look where trying to 'read them in my own' got ya? Envelopes scattered everywhere, not even in order anymore most likely and one letter that was barely read." I said and he glared at me before sighing.

"Why do you care so much if I read them or not?" he asked and I opened my mouth.

"They might be important." a voice said making us turn around and Lenny's face lit up.

"Van!" Lenny said smiling brightly and Van smiled back, walking over.

"Eric." he said glancing at me smirking before he got in the bed behind Lenny and wrapped his arms around him, making Lenny blush.

"Van the car." I said smirking and made Lenny glare. Chill Lenny, it's a lame comeback anyway, if it hurt Van then poor kitty cat. He can lick the pain away.

"Eric the loner who will live with a thousand cats." Van shot back making me gasp as he chuckled and cuddles with Lenny who laughed.

"Well that's just rude." I said pouting as Van grinned.

"Let's get to reading now, shall we?" Van asked pulling Lenny close to his chest making Lenny blush while nodding as he looked up at him.

"Ew, affection." I said smirking as Lenny blushed more shooting me a glare while Van chuckled kissing Lenny's head. Lenny turned red covering his face.

"Not in front of our guest." Lenny mumbled and Van smiled pulling Lenny's hands away from his face.

"But your reactions are so cute." Van said smiling more as Lenny turned more red.

"Yuck, I'm out." I said and Lenny huffed glaring at me.

"Okay okay back to the letters." Lenny grumbled as I smirked and Van nodded. Lenny opened up a random letter then cleared his throat. "Dear Lenny, it's been awhile since I wrote you a letter....your sister is good, your older sister. You know...the one that left before I....before you...anyways she has a son now. And her brother in law which is also your brother in law has a son too but a few years older. At least the little guy won't be so alone. I think if you were here....you'd be happy to see the little guys like I am....because they both kinda remind me of you in a way....son I'm sorry." Lenny read the whole thing wiping his eyes a few times or blinking away tears.

"It's okay baby." Van said kissing his head as tears rolled down Lenny's face. "One letter is enough for today." he said and Lenny nodded slowly as he fold the paper back up.

"Ummm...hey your an uncle now! Well know you are." I said and they both looked at me making me feel awkward but then Lenny smiled.

"Yeah I am...I feel bad though since who knows how old my nephew is....I don't know where they are." Lenny said frowning as Van hugged him from behind.

"Well I'm no detective but I'm a cop so I'm on the case." I said tipping my hat up smirking as Lenny laughed. "Oops gotta go before I'm late." I said checking my watch.

"For what?" Lenny said as I left his room.

"To college! I'm a boy's bodyguard!" I yelled and forgot Nhemo was asleep so I my face was met with a pillow before I left the house then headed to my car.

"I thought that job was like not your normal job!" I heard Lenny yell so I turned around to see him running towards me then bend down panting.

"No it's not, I've never really had a job like this before but hey, it pays." I said shrugging.

"Well be nice." Lenny said slanting his eyes and I smirked.

"Sure." I said before getting in my car and he sighed shaking his head before I drove off.
