It's Saturday. I look down at my phone, completely engrossed in a book. While I like books on my phone better, I read paper books most of the time because I can't look at my phone in school. I wish we could. I get a text from Adrian that says
"Call me."
Very specific Adrian. Thanks. I hope she's okay. I call her.
"Hello?"
"Hi Oakley. I have made my decision."
"Yay! What is it?"
At this point, I don't care what her decision is. I'm just really curious.
"I'll say yes, but if he does one thing wrong, he's a goner."
"That's all I wanted."
I really hope she keeps that decision...
I get off the bus and go into the school. It's Monday, which I love because it's a fresh start. I also have Chorus. Adrian doesn't like it, but I enjoy songing early in the morning. I walk to my first class. As I look for Adriam, she comes up to me. She says
"No. He started punching a kid for liking the opposing football team. I don't care about the money."
She walks away. I'm in shock and frankly I hate Liam very much right now. I start looking for him and push people out of the way. I finally find Liam. He says
"I suppose you've come to tell me you two accepted."
That's it. I grab his wrist and judo flip him. I say
                "Yeah, no."
Then I walk away smirking. As I walk into homeroom, I see Adrian smiling. She high fives me. This is why we are such good friends. I look very nice, and I am, but if you mess with an innocent person, I will not be.
As I walk down to lunch with Adrian, I think I liked that a lot. And my disappointment isn't at all because I didn't get to be in a relationship with Adrian. Not at all.
