The Next Day

Chapter 1: The New Me

It has been a year since my accident and I've been doing pretty well. I can walk better than I used to but, sometimes it's still hard to get around.
  I'm still living with Stefan and his mom. My brother has grown and is now 6, and finally after a year I get to go back to school. I'm not super excited about going back.

Stefan was downstairs eating breakfast with my brother and his mom and I was upstairs just looking in the full body mirror Stefan had in his room.
    "Am I ready to go back?" She thought as she stared at herself in the mirror.
   All of a sudden Stefan walked in and stares at Melody.
"What are you staring at?" Melody says turning to face him.

"Oh nothing, just my beautiful girlfriend" he said with a smile.

Stefan walked over to me and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Your gonna be fine" Stefan said reassuring me.

I stared back at myself and then to the side of the mirror to see Stefan holding his arms around my waist with his head buried in my neck. I smiled then squeezed out of his grip then went to grab my backpack and my phone.

  "You ready to go beautiful?" He said with a smirk

I smile then nodded.

We walked downstairs and I saw my brother at the table eating his breakfast.

"Sissy!!" My brother ran out of his chair and greeted me with a hug.
I hugged him back and gave him a kiss on the forehead.

I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed some breakfast, all of a sudden I feel warm arms slide around my waist.

  "Stefan" I said shakily
  "Yes?" He asked in a calm tone
  "What are you doing?" I asked
  "Hugging my girlfriend" he said pulling me closer to him.
Over this past year we have gotten really close and we understand each other a lot better than we used to.

He spun me around and planted a soft kiss on my lips.

  "Stefan, not in front of my brother and your mom" I said blushing
He turned around and saw them both look away quickly.
We laughed for a bit before Stefan, my brother and I had to go to school.

  "Bye" we all said before walking out the door.

On our drive there, we listened to some of our favorite music and sang along to about what felt like a thousand songs.
When we got to the school, I just sat there, realizing how different it looked.
Stefan looked at me and all the worry in my eyes and put a hand on my inner thigh.
I looked over at him and he gave me a little smile. I smiled back then got out of the car and grabbed my brother and hoisted him on my waist.

  "You've gotten a little heavy since the last time I picked you up" I said smiling and a little bit of a giggle
He smiled back at me and rested his head on my shoulder.
I took my brother to his elementary class then headed back to the high with Stefan holding my hand.
I could tell this was going to be a good year.

Hello guys!

I know it's been a SUPER long time and I am SUPER sorry. I have been really busy with school and my family then I actually went through a pretty big depression stage because I was going through a break up and it was really hard on me and I just didn't feel good and I wasn't in a good place but I'm back and better with myself.

I hope you guys enjoy the second book in the That Day series.
I know it's been a really long time since I've updated any of my books. But I'm back and I'm thinking of updating this book and maybe the ghost on the weekends.
