It has been a day since we found out i was going to have a baby. We've been wondering on not only how long i've had this thing inside me but how we are going to tell Stefans mom. I honestly could care less about what my parents think about this baby.
Now i know having a kid is a BIG responsibility but i would feel like a terrible person to take away another humans life. Me and Stefan have talked it over and we have decided to keep it. We know it'll be hard but were down to put in the work.
As i was about to walk downstairs to talk to Stefan's mom about the baby, when Stefan came into the room.
"Um hey" i said
"We need to talk to my mom" he said
"Thats what i was about to do" I said
"ok well let's go" He said grabbing my hand
As we walk down the steps, my heart starts racing.
"Hey mom?" he say's
"Yes Stefan?" She answers
"Me and Melody have to tell you something" He said seriously while still holding my hand
"Ummm ok, you sound serious" She said sitting down on the couch
"Well, it is serious" He said sitting in front of her
"Your making me worried Stefan" She said
"Mom, Melody....." He said stopping and looking at me
"Stefan is she pregnant?" She asked
"umm yes?" He said
She was silent for a few minutes.
"How long has this been going on?" She asked sternly
"Im not sure" I said
"Ok well we are gonna go to the docters and figure this out but im not mad at you guys, im just shocked" She said
"Now are we deciding to keep it?" She asked
"Yes we are keeping it, i would feel like a terrible person to take away another human beings life" I said
"Ok, well when you start getting like big, i am gonna keep you at home so you guys dont suffer any drama" She said looking at both of us
"Ok i agree with that" We both said
"Ok, i'll get you an appointment set up, but for now, you kids get to school" She said standing up and giving us both hugs
After the talk with her i got ready for school, putting on a pair of grey sweatpants, and a snoopy shirt, with black converse and a black beanie.
I walked downstairs to see Stefan and Luka waiting for me. i grabbed both of there hands and walked out the door. As we were walking i thought about how i was gonna tell my brother until i just stopped and got down on my knees in front of my brother.
"Luka?" I say holding both his hands
"Yes sissy" He say's
"What would you think of sissy having a baby?" I say
He looks up at Stefan then back to me.
"That would be fine, as long as you dont forget about me" He said with tears stinging at his eyes
"Oh bub, i could never forget you, your my brother" I say pulling him into a hug
"Good" He answers hugging back
I stood back up and took there hands again, and started down the sidewalk. When we got to the elementary i gave Luka a big hug and walked back over to the high school. Stefan was waiting for me next to the school doors. He grabbed my hand and we walked in. Everyone started staring and whispering. We just kept walking and eventually we got to my locker. I opened it up and grabbed my stuff, to see people still staring.
"DO WE HAVE TO GO OVER THIS AGAIN!" I yell across the halls
Everyone went back to what they were doing but some people were still staring at me like i did something horrible or whatever. I slammed my locker and stormed away from my locker and Stefan. I went to the girls bathroom and hid in a stall. I instantly started crying. I have a feeling someone found out and told everyone at school that i was pregnant. After about 20 minutes of crying i finally walked out and looked in the mirror then washed my face out with water. I walked out of the bathroom and ran into HER again with her possey.
"Oh look who it is" She said glaring at me
"What do you want?" I say crossing my arms over my stomach
"Oh nothing just wanted to ask HOW MANY MONTHS IS THE BABY?" She said loudly to everyone walking past and looking at me and instantly whispering to their friends, while she put her hand on my stomach
"At least i'll actually have kids unlike your ugly horse self" I said and walked away
She gasped and walked into the bathroom.
I walked all the way to the office and told them i wasnt feeling well and had to go home, so they let me go home. As i was walking i was crying. when i got home i walked in and ran upstairs crying into my pillow. i heard Stefans mom come in and sat on the bed next to me, giving me a hug.
"Whats wrong Mel?" She asked with worry in her voice
"They already found out somehow, i never told anyone but somehow they still frickin know" I say crying
"Oh Mel, i think im gonna pull you two out for the rest of the year until homecoming or prom, im gonna call the school and get this figured out, i think im gonna home school you for now" She said walking to the door
"No dont pull him out, i dont want him to miss out on his sports and stuff" I say sitting up
"I'll talk to him" She said walking out
As i sat there in silence, i hear the door open and close downstairs. I hear footsteps on the stairs and then Stefan walks in with worry in his face.
"Hey my mom told me what happend" He said walking over to me and sitting on his knees in front of me
"Its whatever" I say looking away
"Its a big deal Melody, thats not right-" He was cut off by my brother running in and sitting next to me.
"Are you ok sissy?" He said giving me a hug
"Yes im ok" I say hugging back
"Were gonna get this all fixed ok?" Stefan said putting a hand on my left knee
i give a slight nod. Then all three of us joined in a group hug. Later that night after i ate dinner, took a shower and put my pajamas on, i laid down and tried to go to sleep, when Stefan and Luka came in, and both of them were holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Awww whats this you two?" I ask sitting up
"it was Lukas idea" Stefan said looking over at Luka
"You guys are so cute, thank you" I said grabbing both bouquets and setting them down on my desk vases. I turned around and gave my brother a kiss on the cheek then gave Stefan a peck on the lips. Then went back to my bed, with Stefan following.
"Um sissy? Can i sweep with you guys?" He asked looking at us
"Of course you can bud" Stefan said holding out his arms
"Yay!" He said jumping in between us
When we all got comfy, we fell asleep soundly.
