Jack yelped as he accidentally tripped over his dog Gizmo for the fifth time that day. He grunted as he got up, his little dog smiling at him. "You stupid mutt..." He grumbled, pulling the thing close to his chest. "How about coming to work with me?" He said, ruffling his ears. Gizmo barked, jumping from his arms and running around. Jack looked around his small house, he loved it so much, the grass outside was beautiful and the ever growing forest making him feel back at home.

But it felt weird see a house outside his window, he was use to the green fields, but they were blocked by houses. Gizmo ran into the room, doing a quick run, and bolting out once more. Jack pulled his shoes on finally, grabbed his dogs leash, and grunted as the dog dragged him outside. Jack walked down the street, Gizmo pulling his hand off as he tried to run faster. But he didn't want to, he was ready to get to school and congratulate the class for the great performance. He wondered how Mark was.  He left earlier than anyone and seemed to be happy as he left.

Jack remembered seeing him when he found out his brother was missing, how he wasn't smiling as much, like everything that was happiness left him. Jack sighed, he knew what Felix was doing, but it wasn't enough. Maybe they found him, he wouldn't know till he was at school. He saw the normal sluffers hanging out at the park, a few giving a small hello as he walked by.  Jack walked into school, late again, checked in, and walked to his classroom, everyone gasping as Gizmo pranced down the hall.

He walked in with his usual happy entrance. Mark was there, he looked much more happier, he was listening to Wade and Bob talk about something, when the last time he was here he looked like he was slowly dying. Jack smiled at them, and let Gizmo run around and sniff everyone once the door was shut tight. "Well, since everyone did such a wonderful performance, how about a game day? I have many board games and I'm sure you guys have plenty more. Sadly, computers aren't available so we'll have to find something else."

Everyone laughed, a few jumping up to grab the board games tucked away in the weird closet in his room. He loved it actually, his own little room, it had a sink and little mugs hanging from the cabinets, he adored it. He also shoved everything in here, causing it to dirty fast. He gave extra credit to whoever cleaned it for him and some people perked up. He loved watching them get excited over little things.

He piled the games out, everyone getting in teams and taking a game to play. The noise soon developed in chaotic noise, everyone either screaming or laughing loudly. Jack grabbed Mark, asking him to come talk to him for a moment. Once they were outside, he smiled, "So, are you okay? Do you need anything?" Jack asked, watching him. Mark smiled, "Yeah, my brothers fine, he was found last night by a store, he was delusional for awhile and they finally found him..." He repeated, trailing off.

"That's great! I'm so glad he's back, alright, go have some fun." He walked to his desk, little Gizmo sitting on the stage. He whistled, but the stubborn dog sat there, wagging his tail quickly. Jack turned his attention to the matter at hand, with a huff, he saw the papers he assigned his Friday classes piled "neatly" on his desk.

For the most of the class, he graded, but was soon drawn to the kids laughing over the games. He stood, walking around. Everyone was so deep in a game they didn't notice him peek over to see what they were doing. Jack stopped when he got to Marks group, who sat with nothing, just talking freely. "Oh, don't wanna play a game?" They shook their heads, "We're more computer." Wade shrugged, making Jack smile, "Honestly, so am I." They laughed, Bob suddenly launching into conversation.

"Have you seen the new Overwatch game?" Jack sat down, nodded, "Hell yeah, Junkrat is my favorite so far." They got into the depth of the game, and before Jack knew it, he wasted most of his time talking about a video game. "Alright, clean up and leave!" Jack called as the bell rung. He pointed at Bob, "We'll talk about this later." Bob smiled widely, but nodded. Jack stood, and realized he was forgetting something.

"WHERES GIZMO?!" He yelled, making everyone jump. They looked around, and suddenly they heard the yelp outside. "FUCKIN DOG!" He cursed, running out into the hallway. His small dog was being held by a few younger year girls, giggling and laughing.

"Oh my, look at you Gizmo, getting all the attention." The girls giggled, handing him his dog back, and leaving with a final pat. Jack held the dog by his scruff, "Do you want to die?" He snarled, before walking into his classroom and setting the dog on a table so he couldn't move without jumping to his death.  Everyone waved, petting the dog, and leaving. Mark was the last one to stay, he walked over, patting Gizmo.

"I have a dog, her names Chica..." He said, "Much bigger than this guy." Jack scoffed, "I fuckin bet." Mark laughed, "I've never heard you curse before today." Jack laughed, "Yeah, I'm not suppose to. But this little freak show likes to bring the worst out of me." Mark laughed, but he made no attempt on leaving. Jack let Mark pet Gizmo while he gathered some things.

"Hey, Mr. Jack..." He looked up, Mark seemed to contemplate what he was going to say. "How do you...Know Cry and Felix..." Jack was thrown from the question, "Uh, they were some childhood friends. Felix is a cop, part-time mechanic, Cry's a mechanic, he's really good..." Jack shrugged, "Why?"

"Thomas was saying something about them saving him or something..." Jack hid his smile. So they did what he asked. "Oh, that's nice. I'll ask them about it." Jack put Gizmo's leash on, grabbing the dog off the table and walking to the door, Mark on his heels, "Alrighty then, have a goodnight." He said as he locked the classroom door and headed out. Mark still following him.

Jack checked out, walked into the parking lot, and saw Mark leaning on his bike, which looked almost new. Mark seemed to be worrying about something, like he was scared of going home. "See ya tomorrow?" He called, breaking Mark from his thoughts. Mark nodded, waving at him as he made his way off grounds. The sun was setting, so getting home would be fun if Gizmo doesn't try a stunt.

But the dog being a little shit, he suddenly yanked free from Jack's hand, making him stumble. "WAIT GIZMO, I HAVE TO GIVE YOU BACK IN ONE PIECE!" He stumbled to his feet, running after the white dog. But after a few minutes he lost it, and with a panic cry, he fell on his front lawn with a huff. "C'mon you stupid dog..."

After three hours of walking, he finally came to a beaten up house he remembered as Mark's, and to his surprise, a golden dog sat outside with Gizmo tucked up by her. "...He just showed up, real cutie he is." Tim walked out, he was on the phone, Mark walking out behind him.

"Gizmo!" Jack called, the little dog perking up. "Oh my, looks like we found the owner, I'll talk to ya later Kyle." And he hung up, waving Jack over. "My! I didn't know you had a dog?" He laughed, clapped his shoulder. Jack laughed sheepishly, "He's a big handful that's for sure..." His leash was still attached to Gizmo, but he didn't have a tag, his mom never got him one.

"Thank you for looking out for him..." He said, picking the dog up. "Oh don't worry! He was a great visitor." Tim smiled, and Jack smiled back kindly. Mark was silent the whole time, staring at Jack with pity. "Want me to walk ya home? It's getting dark." Mark asked, Chica perking up at the idea of a walk. "No, I'll be fine..." Tim slapped Mark's shoulder, and instead of him flying to the ground like Jack would, he only shrugged it off.

"Go on ahead! Chica needs a walk and she'll bite anyone who will dare mess with you." Mark smiled, whistling for Chica to stand, which she gladly did. "See you in a bit." Mark waved, and the two set off. Chica had no leash, she walked by Marks side with loving care, unlike Gizmo who bounced around.

Mark laughed, "Dang, I almost wanna trade dogs." Jack scoffed, "Take it." Gizmo barked, trotting along happily. "So, Chica is a guard dog huh?" Jack asked, "Yeah, she follows me everywhere but school. Even then I take her sometimes. She just been with me for a long time..." Mark smiled at Chica, who seemed to recognize she was having praise.

"Sweet dog..." Jack smiled at her, who only looked back with a loopy smile. They made it to his house faster then he thought, and with a goodbye, Mark left him. But he stopped, "Hey, don't tell Thomas this, but I went to this party awhile back, and people said a teacher from the school was there, was that you?" Jack remembered everything from the party except till the end.

"Uh, no, wasn't me." He answered, Mark nodding, and he walked down the street. Jack walked inside, Gizmo finally going insane. Jack threw the leash aside, curling up on the couch, and with a huff, gave Cry and Felix a call.
