I walked down the hallway to see my parents sitting in the living room with a worried look.

They looked back at me and a relieved expression crossed their faces. My mom got up and ran towards me.

"We saw the broken glass and we knew that something was wrong! When we went to your room and saw that your door was kicked in and you were gone, I started to panic.

Oh baby, I thought someone took you!" She squeezed me into a hug. I tried to squirm against her grip and soon I was free. ¨Ya I'm sorry I was at a friends house." I brushed myself off.

"All day? What happened to being sick?" She looked me over to see if I was okay. " I started to feel better around noon and so I just went to a friend of mine who was home schooled.¨

I felt guilty for lying, but I couldn't tell her the truth. I wouldn't get in trouble but Kyle would, and for some reason I didn't want him to get in trouble. ¨What happened to the window and your door?¨

Mom had a look on her face that made me know that she didn't believe me.

"The neighbors hit a baseball into our window by accident and I was in my room at the time so I went to open my door to see what the loud noise was and the door just fell off the hinges."

My mom nodded her head and looked away. I knew she didn't believe me but I really didn't have a better excuse.

"May I please go to my room? I have a really bad headache." I stared at her and she looked a little uneasy but she let me go anyway. I walked upstairs and into my bedroom. I would have shut the door, but I don't have one at the moment.

I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes. I heard my phone go off beside me and I look to see Austins name appear on my screen.

Austin- Hey, you got plans tomorrow? After all, it's Halloween ;-)

I replied and soon we had a text conversation started.

Me- No. I was planning on staying home and watching Netflix.

Austin- C'mon, you should come with me to a party tomorrow after school

Me- At who's house?

Austin- ...

Me- Austin...

Austin- Brandon's hosting the party

I stopped and looked down. Ugh, I hate Brandon. He's the schools heartbreaker. He has a girl for everyday of the week. I was once his tutor and he kept trying to get me to make out with him so I ended up slapping him and I haven't talked to him since.

Austin- C'mon! Even Lindsey is going

I sighed and turned off my phone. I'm not sure if I want to go. I'll just think about it.

A knock on my wall (since I don't have a door) startled me and I sat up real quick to see my dad. I sighed and sat back down. I knew I was going to be in trouble now.

"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you." He chuckled slightly. "Look, I don't know what happened today, but I know that your story doesn't make since."

I sighed. "I'm sorry dad, it's just been a really long day and I really don't want to talk about it."

He nodded his head. "I understand. I will talk to you more tomorrow, but I expect an answer soon from you of what really happened today."

I looked away. I heard his footsteps slowly leave until they were no longer audible.

I closed my eyes and I felt the world slowly disappear.

Hey guys! I'm sorry that this chapter is so extremely short, but I wanted to end it there. I just feel like editing a little bit and work on a new story. I will hopefully have Adrain or somebody right the next chapter!
