"Niall, I can explain."

"Save it. I don't want to hear it." Niall snaps and then the line goes dead.

"Woah. Who was that?" Jackson asks as he scarfs down a plate of pancakes.

"U-uh it was Niall." I stutter and Jackson looks up at me in concern.

"Is there something wrong?" Jackson asks again and I shake my head. He nods and goes back to eating his breakfast.

I unlock my phone and go on twitter's trending topics. My eyes grow wild when I stumble upon a picture of the day I bumped into Ethan. He was holding my hands and we were staring at each other. What made it worse was the header. Niall Horan's Very Own Jasmine Love: Cheating?

"No, no, no. This can't be happening!" I say frustratedly as I slap my face in my hands. "I'm so stupid!"

"Stop. Jasmine. STOP!" Jackson screams to stop me from slapping myself again. "What happened?"

"Ethan happened. I- I can't do this anymore! I need to see mom." I order and he nods. A waiter brings us the check and Jackson pays, placing our unfinished meals into plastic containers.

We hop into the car and seventeen minutes later, we make it to the hospital.

"Jasmine! How are you doing today?" Ashley, one of my mom's very young nurses asks me when I storm into the cancer department.

"Hey, Ash. Where's my mom?"

"She's in chemo right now. Room 322, babe." She smiles at me.

Ashely and I, due to the little age gap, became great friends. She's like the big sister I never had.

"Thanks." I smile back at her and she nods. Wait. I needed to ask her something else. I turn around and find my brother's arms wrapped around her waist and her arms wrapped around his neck. Eh. It can wait.

"Hi, baby." My mom greets as I walk into her room. She takes off her glasses and places what looks like a writing pad on the table near the window. I smile at her and sit in the chair next to her bed. "How's it going?"

"I'm doing good. Two more years of school then I'm free!" I cheer and she laughs. "Are you feeling any better?" I ask and my mom's laugh slowly stops.

"I'm still fighting, so, yes, I am feeling better." She smiles again and I flash her a weak smile. "I'm proud of you, honey." My mom says and I look up at her. "You've grown up to be such a wonderful and strong young lady." My mom continues as she cups the side of my face with her hand. "I love you so much, baby girl."

I shut my eyes, trying to stop myself from crying.

"Please don't leave us, mom." I say in a low whisper. "Please don't go- not yet."

I hear sniffles come from the bed, but I don't look up.

"I don't want to leave either." My mom whispers. "You don't k-know h-how much it hurts j-just th-thinking a-about leaving you guys behind. B-but I know y-you'll be fine beca-"

My mom stops talking and I sit there looking at the floor, holding her hand. I wait for her to continue, but instead, I hear a high pitched noise. I look up and see my mom's head sideways on the pillow and when I look at her machine, it's a flat line.

"ASHLEY!" I scream at the open door. "ASHLEY PLEASE! ASHLEY HELP!" I scream as nurses and doctors rush into my mom's room, pulling me away from the side of her bed. "MOM!"

"Jasmine, we're going to have to ask you to wait in the waiting room while we work with your mom, okay?" Ashley explains to me, but I shake my head.
