As soon as I step of the plane my social worker Kate directed me towards baggage claim. As soon as I got my small duffle and after a lot of arguing between me and Kate, I was carrying my backpack loaded with all my favorite snacks and she was carrying my duffle bag.

Not long after we pulled up to a nice sized house in Brooklyn. I got out the car as a nice very familiar looking older lady comes out. I stiffen as she pulls me into a tight hug. "Hi" she says. "Hi Miss...." I trail off. "Oh you can call me mamì." Usually I stick with the last name but I don't know why but I feel okay with it. "Okay." I reply.

After a tour she tells me her daughter and her husband are  coming to she her tomorrow for the week. I tell her it's fine and start to unpack. Next thing I know in puking my guts out over the toilet. Mamì comes in and pulls my hair. Gives me something she calls her "secret elixir" and I instaly feel better.

Once I finished unpacking , I fall asleep on the soft bed. And I have the best sleep in what feels like forever.

I'm awakened by a woman screaming though the house. Mamì is telling the woman to calm down. I walk out of the room and see her. I'm staring in shock. "Hi" is all a mange to sqeak out before I'm in the bathroom puking my brains out. When I'm finished I see mamì explaining to Lana what going on. I'm brush my teeth and head back out into the kitchen where I'm wrapped in  a hug by Fred. He must have heard because Lana is crying in her mother's day arms. I start to cry. Fred then whispers "Nobody is ever going to hurt you again. " I cry harder because for the first time I finally feel loved.
