Amelia sat on the metal gurney, swinging her legs back and forth while she munched on a piece of pizza.
"Ow!" she yelped, as the doctor poked her with a needle to draw blood.
She looked down at the needle in her arm and the doctor froze in place. He looked up at her and gave her a nervous-looking smile. Amelia frowned in confusion, but then her show came back on so she returned her gaze to the T.V. The doctor quickly finished drawing her blood and placed the sample into a small cardboard box.
"I thought these tests were supposed to be fun," she complained, eyes still glued to the screen.
"The worst part is over now, my dear. Now come the fun tests, if that's alright?"
Amelia nodded as she swallowed her last bite of pizza and jumped off the gurney. The doctor walked over to the large metal cabinets lining one whole wall of the room, and returned with a thick folder.
"Now, I'm going to show you some pictures, and I want you to tell me the first thing that comes to your mind. Can you do that?"
"Oh, sure. I've done this before, with the doctor my foster parents took me to. It's not really that fun..."
"Well, I bet these are different pictures than what the other doctor showed you. I think you'll enjoy it."
"Ok, I guess..." She looked skeptically at the doctor.
"Great! Are you ready?"
"Sure"
The doctor rummaged in the folder for a minute and held up the first picture.
Everything went dark.
