Black Skies

As Livy and Lew try to get away from their now burning house. Lew can still hear the echoing cries from his mom and dad as they still fight a giant snake. Livy is crying as she's being carried by Lew as she is still on his back coughing out black smoke from the fire. As they get to a safe distance they watch their home burn as while as their mom and dad. As the snake is done with his evil deed. It goes the opposite direction of where Lew and Livy are. Lew goes over to Livy asking her if she is okay while he is crying but trying to be strong for his little sister. Livy nods her head. She cries really hard into Lew’s shoulder making it look like water got all over his left shoulder.  Lew hugs Livy back. Livy breaks the hug and stands up. Lew stands up with her. “do you want to go back and try to find anything?” Asked Lew. “Yes.” Livy said with no hesitation.
            Lew grabs Livy's hand and slowly walks down the hill that he managed to get up with his wings. When Livy and Lew get to their house that is now black wood, glass shards, with smoke still attacking the blue sky.They walk in and go their separate ways. Livy goes to her bedroom that has stuffing from her stuffed animal collection. But there was a jewel that stood out from the rest of the room. it didn't even get burned or covered with ash and black smoke. it was Livy’s Collar that she got when she was about 3 years old. It was handmade by her mom then had a spell put into it.  The person who wears the Collar will never get hurt or wounded But would make the person who was trying to hurt you hurt themselves.they would also turn into their true animal. Livy took the Collar and put it into her pocket. Lew went to find his mom and dad's corpse. He looked everywhere but they were nowhere to be found at all. As Lew thought of a way of where their bodies could be he searched for his dad's bracelet that can turn into any weapon you could think of or turn you invisible. Lew walked into his dad's study that is burned down to the floor. In the middle of the room there was a golden beaded bracelet. Lew walked out of the room and walked towards the doorway that used to lead to the outdoors. Livy followed after Lew. “Are you ready to go?” asked Lew.”yes let's go”. answers Livy while she yawns. “climb on so we can try to find a cave or a village. But i'll need your help to sniff out the village, okay?””okay.” said Livy.
            Livy climbed onto Lews back and held on to his neck. As Lew flies with Livy still on Lew's back. Livy starts to sniff the air but she can't smell anything but the smoke, the nature, and the creatures in the woods. “Lew i can’t smell anything that has humans or a village.” Said Livy. As Lew ignores her. As thinks to himself, he needs to find somewhere to sleep just a cave or a village. “Lew you always want to be inside. How come?” Asked Livy.”just because okay! Please don’t ask ever again!” yells Lew. Livy stops talking and starts to get angry. As Livy has a flashback of the last time she was flying on Lew’s back when she was four years old. She leaned backwards and made Lew come down with her. As Livyy got out of the trance of memories she could smell something good. “hey Lew guess what!?” asked Livy. “what Livy?” answered Lew annoyedly. “I smell something good.” said Livy. As she keeps sniffing the air.” Do you smell it?”. As Lew sniffs the air he couldn't smell anything. “You know i can’t smell as good as you. Do you think it's a village?” Asked Lew.”oh yeah I forgot, sorry.” said Livy.” But i think it is a village.” as Livy points to where it is coming from Lew flies in that direction.
            After a good 5 minutes of flying Lew had land so he can rest. As Lew rested Livy went hunting for food that they could eat. Good think Livy’s dad taught her how to hunt to survive in the wild. Lew was building a fire but didn't know how to start a fire so he had to wait for Livy to get back. after ten minutes pass Livy came back with two rabbits. “yay i caught something!” shouted Livy very excitedly.”Yay I’m starving.” Said Lew. Livy looks at what should by the fire but is just a pile of leaves.” Uh what is that?” asked Livy.”that there is  out fire but i don't know how to start a fire.” Said Lew laughly. “We don’t need a fire.” Livy says. “There’s a village near by.” Lew has a very confused expression while Livy tries to explain why they don’t need a fire.” We don’t need a fire because there's a village right there.” Livy points to it. “Well I don't see it.” says Lew. “And you say you have eagle eyes and you couldn’t see it when you were flying?” yells Livy. “Hey you can’t blame me I was getting tired from carrying you and flapping my wings for an hour.” Lew yells back. “Fine.” Livy says. LIvy walks away with one of her rabbits to the village. “wait where are you going?” Asked Lew. “Livy!” Lew walks faster to Livy to catch her. Livy keeps walking faster towards the village with the rabbit. Lew thinks to himself ‘why does she still have that rabbit with her.Wait is she think of trading that rabbit for a place to stay!?’
            As Lew stacks his sister a little while till they get to the village he could see her speaking to one of the villagers from the village. Livy traded the rabbit for a few gold pieces. Livy walks the opposite way of the villager with the dead rabbit. Livy started to count how many gold she now had to herself. “1...2...3.. skip a few and i have 13!” says Livy. Livy jumped excitedly. “i wonder what happened with Lew?”. Then when livy is was about to look for Lew. Lew jumps out and scares Livy so bad she falls to the ground and sits right down on her tail. “OW!” screams Livy.” What the heck Lew!” Lew starts balling with laughter and tears.”Haha thats the best thing ever.” Lew says.” That's what you get when you left without me.” Livy stands up and yawns.”but that really hurt.” says Livy. “oh, and i didnt find us shelter but i got us 13 gold pieces haha.” Lew has an annoyed expression. He grabs Livy's hand and drags her a little to a nearby cave with a fire and two beds opposite from each other. “i made this while you were counting your coins.” Said Lew.”I had help from one of the villagers by selling the rabbit.” LIvy walks around the small cave and looks at everything and starts to cry a little.
            “why are you crying Livy?” Asked Lew as he hugs Livy. “It’s just...note the same.” Said Livy stuttering with every word. “With.. Out ..Mommy and… Daddy.” Lew starts to tear up a little.”I know but mom and dad would like us to stay strong.” Says Lew hoping it would cheer Livy up a little. After what seemed like forever Livy spoke up from the awkward silence. “Lew?” Lew looks at Livy. “ yes Livy? What is it?” ”what did you get from our home?” “ I got dad’s bracilete. What did you get?” “I got the collar that mom gave me.” Crack snap. “What was that?” asked Livy. “i don't know i can’t hear like you do.” answers Lew. “I’m going to go investigate!” says Livy cheerfully. “wait, be careful!” Livy turns around at the mouth of the cave. “ I will don’t worry so much okay?” Lew looks away and into the fire. “I can if I want to.” Livy goes to investigate into the woods.
            Livy tries to walk carefully on twigs and leaves. Trying not to make a sound. Livy sniffs the air only to smell a cat. Livy immediately runs after it and tries to catch it, “come over here and let me love you kitty cat!” When livy catches up to the cat. The cat teleports away.”No cat come back!” Yells Livy.
            After about an hour Lew starts to pace around the floor wondering when Livy is coming back. Lew starts to head out of the mouth of the cave when Livy and Lew bonk heads. “OW!” They both say falling down to the ground. “Why were you taking so long!” Yelled Lew. “I was getting ready to head out to find you!” Lew stands up then walks to his bed and sits there frustrated. “Well you know cats and I. I always go after the cats and dogs!” Livy said back at Lew. “I know but!” Says Lew as he yawns. “I’m going to sleep Good night's.” Lew falls asleep. Livy could smell the cat again. But Livy goes to sleep knowing she has a big day. The cat that has been following Lew and Livy has been watching them since they were 6 and 7. Livy could smell the cat again but she went to bed anyway. The cat was glad she didn't have to run again.
            The sun started to rise making the sky an orange and yellow color in the sky. Lew starts to wake up to see the cat in his face. Lew after a few seconds of seeing the cat he's 5 feet away from his bed flying into the air by Livy. Lew opens his wings to fly so he doesn’t hit any trees or the ground. Lew looks back at Livy who has now got the cat and is not letting it go. Lew walks over to livy. “Livy let go of the cat.” Livy looks up still holding the cat. “No, this cat been watching us all night!” Says livy. Lew looks at the cat and sighs.” Well maybe it seen food in here or something.” The cat looked at both of them but trying to escape Livy’s grasps. “Let… Me ….Go!” Yelled the cat.Lew and Livy stare at the cat surprised Livy almost throws the cat. “You can speak?” Asked Livy still very shocked. “Well yah i can i am like you guys.” The cat said back. ‘That's so cool!” Yells Livy hugging the cat even tighter than before. The cat struggles to get out of the hug onore.ce it jumps out i lands on Lew's head. “Livy I think the talking cat doesn’t want to be hugged right now so leave it be.” The cat looks at Lew and Livy. “My name is not Talking cat or cat it’s Jewel.” says Jewel sternly. Lew stretches and yawns. “Well i guess we have to go.” Livy grabs the cat again. “But i don’t want to I want to be with the cat.” says Livy sadly. “But she will just slow us down.” Jewel looks back at Lew. “I’m merely a cat I’ll but be with Livy all the time.”  Yah but that means one more mouth that we have to feed.” says Lew annoyed. “ And i don’t know how to feed a cat.”  “Well we can talk about this later remember we are on a mission.” Livy walks out of the cave. Lew follows behind Livy. Jewel is sitting on top of Livy’s head.
    Livy, Lew, and Jewel go walk into the village to be stared and talked about by people. A little girl villager comes up and looks at Livy. Livy crutches down to the little girl's height. “ You have doggy ears?” Says the girl questionly. Livy nods her head. The little girl smiles and runs back to her friends to play. Still being stared at the villagers. The villagers slowly walk away to do their own business. “ Well that was awkward.” Wispears Lew. “Well what would you do if you seen three strange people come into your village with no warning?”  Asked Jewel. “well..I.” Stuttered Lew knowing it was true. “Jewel!” Screamed a girl around 5 or 6. “ Jewel you came back!” Livy and Lew were surprised that someone other than them knew Jewel. But all they heard was a meow from Jewel. “But how come you aren't speaking!?” Asked Lew. The girl looks confused. “I don’t think cats can speak.” said The girl. “But I have to go bye see yah later Jewel!”
    After many hours had passed it was turning into nightfall. Livy started to hear something giant movie with great speed in the distance. “do you feel that?” Asked Livy. “uh yeah i do now.” Said Lew. “Do you think it's who we think it is?” Livy nods. Livy, Lew, and Jewel hurry to go defeat the one and only one snake that killed their parents. As Lew is warning the villagers to go to their homes. Jewel is keeping watch of the direction the snake is moving. Livy is preparing the Collar and the Bracilete. “Lew!” Yelled Livy. Lew flies down to Livy. “everything is ready.” “Oh, everything's set” said Lew. Lew puts on his Bracilete.  He first turned it into a flaming sword that could kill the whole entire village if he wanted to. Then he turned invisible. “Can you see me?” Lew asked. “No.” Answered Livy. Livy put on her Collar. Livy turned into a wolf. “Try and pinch me as hard as you can.” said Livy. Lew tried pinching her as hard as he could to where it should be bleeding but it caused him to bleed. “Ow!” Yelped Lew. Livy giggles at how Lew forgot that he could hurt himself. “That hurt!” Yelled Lew. “Guys he’s 10 miles away right now we should get into position!” Yelled Jewel. “Got it!” Said Livy and Lew at the same time. Livy now on all four paws. She placed them firm on the ground knowing she could still get hurt. Lew takes out his flaming sword ready to battle. Jewel just waits in the shadow waiting for the right moment to pounce on the snake. “He’s now 5 miles away!” Yelled Jewel. Lew and Livy looked at each other then back to where the snake was coming. “Livy?” Asked Lew. “What is it Lew?” answered Livy. “Just in case we don’t make it I was the one who ripped you stuffed animal bunny apart.” Said Lew laughingly. Livy had a annoyed and frustrated look on her face. “Well if we do die i'm going to kill you in the afterlife.” Lew just stood there and waited silently. “Oh and while we're at it I’m the one who kept on eating all your candy every time you got it.” Said Livy evilly. Lew gripped his sword hard from anger. “That’s nice to know.” Said Lew.
    “He’s here!” Yelled Jewel. Jewel quietly went to a different spot to hide so she could watch and get ready to attack. Lew flied into the air and swung his sword making the flames go into the back of the snake's head. The snake screamed painfully but was very surprised of how much stronger they are then their parents. The snake attacked LIvy with it’s tail making her fly backwards but not getting badly wounded. The snake screamed in agony as it's back hurted and was bleeding. Lew tried to attack it again but got caught by the snake's tail and was getting squeezed to death. Livy tries to get up to help Lew but the Collar’s jem is cracked so she got wounded by the impact of the rocks.
    Jewel transformed into a human cat. “Lew drop the Bracilete quick!” Yelled Jewel as she ran and jumped to try catching the now falling Bracilete. Jewel put on the bracilete to make into a huge red sword that had black ghost coming out of it. Jewel swung the sword to cut the snake’s head in half. It made little cut but not good enough. The snake hissed and tried to hit jewel with Lew still wrap around its tail knocking Lew close to the ground. Jewel swung her sword harder making the head come clean off. The snakes screams turned into muffled nothingness. Jewel hurried to free Lew after slicing the tail of the snake off she catches Lew before he could touch the ground. Jewel then went over to livy and took off the Collar. “ Here let me fix this.” said Jewel. Jewel put the Bracelet and the Collar together. The Bracelet and the Collar bad a glowing light that made them merge together then fall into Jewels hands. “Are you able to get up Livy?” Asked Jewel. “Yah i'm pretty sure i can.” Livy started to get up and walked over to Lew with Jewel by her side just incase. “Lew?” said Livy. “Lew! are you okay!?” livy ran to Lew going on her knees by him. “Lew?” Asked Livy.
    “Livy? is that you?” Asked Lew. “Of course it's me who else would it be.” Lew sits up slowly. “oh I thought I was died.” Jewel smiles. “yah but also what are we going to do now?” Asks Jewel. “ Sense Jack is dead.” Livy and Lew give a confused look at Jewel. “Jack?” Asks Livy. “Who's that?” Livy and Lew sit up and look at Jewel. “Jack was the snake that killed our parents.” “Oh, that's who that is.” says Lew. “Well I guess we can protect each other since we found Jewel.” says Livy.
    “We also could protect the village. We do have friends here.” Says Jewel. Livy and Jewel smile. “Well we could do both so what happened to us doesn’t happen to their parents as well.” Says Lew. That sounds like a great plan!” Says Livy cheerfully. Jewel smiles and says. “Yeah let's do that.” The three laugh and agree to watch over the villagers and help each other with their needs.
