The stars are only seen in the dark,
Just like moths in the park.
They appear after the light has died,
Even after it tried
But still ended up setting.
After it leaves, the moon starts betting
That it won't return to glow
And the warmth will no longer show.
As my world becomes a dark place
Where I can't see what's infront of my face.
I look to the stars knowing
They aren't showing
On another place across the sea,
At least not the same ones I see.
I see the stars in the black
And try to avoid the stars attack
Knowing no one see's the same stars as me
Or think things on the brink of blasphemy
Or wonder when the sun will show
And away this darkness will blow.
But for now I look to the stars
As my soul looks through its bars.
